The Russians do exist. Where do you think the Russian kid playing for the academy came from.....

I watched that kid at training last week & wasn`t sure what nationality he was.
He did a quick lap of the field so at first I thought, he`s a Russian
but when he`d done the lap I was sure he`s a Finnish
but then he got on his back to do some stretches I was certain Hymalayan!!

Yep , it`s a long off season...

If they want more people to sit in the sun on the eastern side why don`t they have nice summer type tops for the girls.Ie singlet tops, boob tubes & bikini tops in Mariners colours.
We live on the Coast & surely these a more representative of the lifestyle we live than "polo shirts".

Some key ideas and tho's from last night's forum...

From the panel ...

• Mike Charlesworth has brought a cannon and when we score the cannon will be fired...
• Marvin may be given the arse and two new mascots used a with swords and guns who run around and shot each other..
• Arnie says aside from a keeper the side is finished.. looking for the new keeper to be a bench player..
• Matty Ryan has got the number one spot at Club B
• Arnie thinks this years squad is our strongest...
• The new Dutch fullback is not as good as PZ...
• Matty S is fully fit..
• Marco will have a huge season..
• A lady I forget her name but she specialises in kids events, will arrange a number of events in Gosford for kids on game days, and the club will promote our games at these events.
• Members tickets sold so far 2, 800 last year at the same time 2, 100.
• COE is under-way again.
• Getting Bluetounge is looking good..

Ideas from the floor

• Join the Yellow Army ...
• Yellow army talk to the club with any ideas
• Use the words Central Coast more than the Mariners... a guy highlighted our logo and it say Mariners in huge print but Central Coast in small print if we wanta engage more locals use CC in large print.

From Hutch

• Marco has fitted in well..
• Players all have lunch together.

Big Big Big Issue
CCA and the Mariners are not getting on and the club is holding a meeting with all local club heads.. from what I could make out of the discussions seems the CCA wants to run the coaching of its rep side ... the Mariners academy wants to do this and Arnie wants to set it up ... the local clubs want it also ... but there are issues with CCA [not discussed by the panel but are difficult] the academy is losing players to SFC and WSW because of it...


Foot in Mouth

Arnie made maybe the biggest foot in mouth I have seen for a while... that had the other panel members covering up for him ... he got a big Roar but my other half was not amused .. a young lady local player [mid 20's] asked what they could do at Bluetounge to entice more ladies to matches .. Arnie said open up a hand bag stall ...

I am sure there's stuff I forgot others can add ... off to the salt mines now...

Which players from CCMA are now at WSW and SFC? What players have they lost??
Historically the majority of the NYL squads are from Western Sydney etc anyway!Duke, Abini, Amini, Ryan etc
From what I have heard they want to run CCMA but want the CCF to fund it???

What was said last night, not only by the panel but by some guy from the floor who had a nephew involved.... and a couple of others from the floor backed up the claims...

The panel would not discuss the issue ... but said it had got to the point of talking to the club heads directly and a meeting was scheduled within the next two to three weeks [I think] ... Arnie could not hold back and and said he and the club wanted to set up something special and prepare the coaches with PZ writing programs ... but CCA wanted to do it and not involve the club ... Arnie was the most vocal on this it is serious given what-else the club management is doing I am taking it at face value...
