Could be special, if the groin is ok. Can be a career stopper. (Steve Waugh as a bowler).

Fingers crossed.

Michael Ryan McGlinchey (born 7 January 1987, Wellington New Zealand) is a Scottish footballer who is currently without a club following his release from Scottish Premier League side Celtic.

Career
McGlinchey, a midfielder, made his Celtic debut against Livingston as a substitute in December 2005.[1] It was his sole appearance for the SPL side. During the 2007/08 season he was then loaned out to Scottish First Division side Dunfermline Athletic until 20 January 2008.[2] Although McGlinchey was successful during his loan deal at the First Division club, his loan was terminated early after he suffered a groin injury.[3] He was released by Celtic in May 2009.[3]

McGlinchey played 2 games at the 2007 FIFA U-20 World Cup finals.

Doig, Wales,McGlinchley and Travis would be good additions to the squad. Two old heads who will add experience and harden us up and two young guys who really should be playing at a higher level with something to prove. I also think they collectively will have a positive attitude to morale. That's unless there's better options trialling, then LM will have some decisions to make.

Plus Huke = 5 international players - all clubless or from the lower divisions of the UK.

I don't much care where they're from so long as they do the job, but Craig Foster will be apoplectic.

MICHAEL McGLINCHEY will head to Australia this weekend to try to win a dream deal with Central Coast Mariners.

The 22-year-old was released by Celtic this summer after being the youngest player to star for the club and is now keen to kick start his career abroad.

After a frustrating last few years trying to make his mark at Parkhead, the playmaker is determined to make the most of his trip Down Under.

He said: "This is not something I was expecting but my agent Jim Harkins called me to say he had an interested party abroad.

"I was over in Portugal being best man at my brother's wedding so it's great news and an exciting opportunity. I'm up for the challenge and it's a case of having a look around the club and they will get the chance to look at me.

"I've never lost confidence in my ability so I'm going to give it a real go and see how things work out.

"The disappointment at leaving Celtic is now in the past and it's all about getting my future back on track. I don't know what it says about the Scottish game that I need to go to the other side of the world to get a club but that's the way it is."

The New Zealand born youngster has been training with Partick Thistle over the past few weeks and thanked the Jags for their help.

He said: "Everyone at Partick Thistle was great with me and I appreciated the chance to do pre-season with them.

"I'm grateful to Ian McCall and Gerry Britton for making me so welcome at Firhill.

"This is an opportunity I couldn't turn down and it shows that you never know what's around the corner."

getting more excited about this by the headline

Lawrie did state on the radio last weekend that redmayne and danny were our two keepers (plus two yoof keepers). So redders is in. I know that the team has only just started pre-season though if we have more signings to come (please) then i really hope that they are announced sooner rather than later as there is 1 month till kick-off and we can't afford a slow start.
At the same time i would rather us sign someone whom we NEED rather than just someone to fill the roster.

remayne has not signed on the dotted line yet and we cannot make the assumption he will be with us next season
Redmayne has resigned with the club a little while ago both parties took up a contract extension clause.

I thought Huke was an aussie?

I think he's eligible for both, don't honestly know if he's played for one or the other.
Correct
Huke is Aussie + English.
English- was born in Reading.
Aussie- I asked him at OUFC season launch (awkward lol- said a few of us were wondering on here). He said yes he has citizenship, to which I suggested he may be a future HALaroo, which he laughed off (I think he thought I was talking socceroos generally? Or just modest?)

So he wont be taking up an international spot ;)
only 4 internationals :D
