2 things
Kwas can score with his left on occasion
but the funny thing is. Which really annoys me, in Fifa09 Kwassie is left footed!
Arrrghhh

Perhaps that's because his preferred foot his errrr his left 1?

yes, he prefers to stand on his left foot ;)
Sometimes you might be forgiven for thinking he isnt right footed for his misses :p.

but seriously bugs me. I am too lazy to change it on Fifa. Weird when I score freekicks with his left

Absolutely no skill in his left foot at all! If your playing LM your expected to provide some service to your strikers. He can't do that. Kwas playing LM in the GF was comical.

Kwas is a hit and hope player as far as his left foot is concerned - A La Patrik Berger!

Doig and Travis could turn out to be diamonds.

Asked three different friends (football nuts) of mine living in the UK at the moment about Doig - the kindest response I got was "utter f*cking shite".  For the sake of our defence, I sincerely hope they're wrong....

Nice friends.

Hopefully their judgement is as good as your own.

Why does everyone think Doig is such a hard bastard? Because there's a picture of him with blood on his face... Jeeeesuus! I've seen a picture of Gary Linaker with blood on his face...hardly a hard man

Reports from England say that he's a no nonsense defender. He's also Scottish and played League 1 football which is no friendly league. There is plenty of hope there, but we wont totally know until he is here.

I got the same info from a mate of mine who follows Walsall..he says Doiggy is  the goods

dearly loved from fans i know at his former clubs and that is good enough for me for the moment

Serious, aren't you heading to UK for most of this upcoming A-League season? So why worry if Doig is the goods or not - you won't have to watch. F**king part timers and bandwagoners think they are f**king experts after only a season or two......  ;)

Clarence - I love that my not being here for the season seems to mean that I won't be following every game as I have always done..... please to be explaining how that makes any sense at all??  And I don't really understand what the part timer/bandwagoner call refers to??

Ursus - they've actually seen him play, in person, multiple times.  How is that judgement impaired at all??  He's a _defender_ from a team that just got relegated.

To Division 4.

You forgot that bit  ;)

Division 4? Maybe we could also sign "Banner" and "Vickers" to hold down the backline? They look like the sort of guys who'd sort out wayward strikers!

I did not say their judgement was impaired.

I said I hoped it was as good as yours.

I see.

For the sake of the team, I hope they're wrong in this case.  Last thing we need is another slow defender....

The problem with Doig is that he seemed to be on the downgrade in football. He has had numerous injuries and this has clearly affected his acceleration. Surely a sucessful team needs players on the upgrade or in their prime?

On the + side though he is a brave player and doesn't shy away from tackles. He is also difficult to turn and beat if you have your back to him. Likewise his heading is pretty good and he will win balls in the air. His experience will be valuable in the dressing room and in helping with your rookie defenders.

I hope the climate and lifestyle over there helps with his fitness and maybe he can turn around this downward spiral that he seemed to be on when I watched him. Following a smaller team myself I know what the expectation can be like for new signings. He is no world beater but if he stays injury free he'll do a good old fashioned defensive job for you.

sorry, posted in the wrond thread before:

OK, a quick update on squad happenings as lawrie was on coast-fm's sport show yesterday:

- doig arrives today (6:05am lol) and will at training monday
- nicky travis arrives later this week some time
- the club will only initially sign two keepers in danny and redders but according to john crawley have the best two young keepers in the country as cover in the youth team
- all the triallists from a few weeks ago will not be signed (serbs, italian, rostyn griffiths etc)
- still to sign an under 21 player which looks like being this welsh lad
- more triallists in the next couple of weeks including a korean

i think that was all, luke did you have anything to add as you did the interview?
