honestly, I am too lazy looking through all these pages, but what changes are you going to have in the squad for next season? any new spectacular signings planned or even made yet?

here's one (in 4-4-2 unfortunately) that would look like an ideal fit for Lawrie.

http://au.fourfourtwo.com/news/103802,i-want-to-come-backone-day.aspx

"Aussie Michael Brown admits he'd love to return home to play in the A-League one day - but he's happy now helping Airdrie United beat the drop.

The 24-year-old former Feyenoord and Parramatta Power man's club is in the middle of a huge relegation battle in the Scottish Division One playoffs."

even the regular 4-4-2 readers reckon this guy's "made for CCM"......lower divisions, has a Lawrie connection, is not foreign....etc.

This is so exciting "Elsewhere, Central Coast Mariners are believed to be in discussions with a 28-year-old Scottish central defender who has recently been released by his lower division English club. It is believed two Serbian players may also be trialled ...as well as New Caledonia international Pierre Wajoka." add Sheff Utd reject Nick Travis, Dagenham reject Shane Huke and Kwasaldinho and I reckon we've got the competition running for cover!

No it doesn't as Hutch is an Australian citizen. He would have dual citizenship if that happens.

The World Fact Book tells me that the Maltese population (as at July 2008) was 403,532.

I'm pretty certain they can find an over rated prima donna on the slide out of that lot and save themselves the airfare

I've mentioned it once before but I really think we need a director of football upstairs to oversee and implement a plan and direction for football on the first team, youth team, junior development, player recruitment etc etc

Our board doesn't have the necessary football knowledge to either sign off or disaprove on what Lawrie is doing.  He needs to report to football manager who has this experience and knowledge. I hate to say it but for all their problems, the scummers have got it right appointing Branko to such a position. He is the sort of guy who would be prefect for us.

Have a look at our board, they're either businessman or socialists. No football knowledge there.

Just read that Kwassie's playing for Blacktown.

http://www.footballnsw.com.au/index.php?id=17&tx_ttnews[tt_news]=2226&tx_ttnews[backPid]=16&cHash=b4164aa4e7

A dominance of possession in the early stages finally paved the way for the opening goal on 24 minutes as new signing Adam Kwasnik headed home a Daniel Wilkinson free-kick from the right-flank.

I'd like to see Elrich go play winter football as well to get match fit. Sign him up Lightning.

Sometimes you feel you must support the team and those within it if they wear your colours.. While my support for the Mariners grows a bit more each year I cannot help but read what other clubs are doing and wonder we seemed to be along with the Nix's & Fury to be fighting for the spoon in Hal 5...

We have essentially added Huke (an excellent buy .. but he came back home looking for a club we did not find him he found us .. and Nicky Travis a SU offcast in over two years of needing to find replacement backs and torn apart all of Hal 4 we are still looking... A very good mate of mine who is involved with Gladsville Spirit said a couple of Spirit boys where trailing with us.

I am dumb founded either we have no money or our recruitment policy is in serious need of re think..

However what scares me the most is our crowds are falling and it is obvious good players put bums on seats at our club ... thus revenue ...so the money saved on not buying players will be lost in crowd revenue.

I'd say it's the results moreso that put bums on seats for the CC, rather than names.

Bozza & Alomissi didn't hurt crowds, but didn't do as much for them as being on a roll leading up to a Grand Final.

Having said that, this season's competition is shaping up to be impossible to get results without some SOLID signings.

Maybe we could sign Mark Viduka ... looks like he will be looking for a new home soon! :)
