Both Kwas and Tommy left on good terms and therefore no tag

You can add Aloisi's goal celebration in front of the family section to these acts.

At least when Tommy scored against us he quietly jogged back to the halfway mark out of respect. He then proceeded to clap and acknowledge the away section after the game. You cannot buy this class.

+1.

My appreciation and respect for Tommy P. the man goes up a notch when he shows such class, and likewise, my feelings towards Aloisi goes down quite a bit when he rubs in a soft penalty goal in front of the family circle at Bluetongue.

You can't buy personal integrity, and discretion.

In that scenario, Tommy P. >>>>>>>>>>>Aloisi>>>>>>>>>>>>>Holland.

Thanks Mick forgot about that greedy f**k Adonk.

Scuff a twice taken penalty and then proceed to carry on like he had scored the goal of the century.

Man is simply a twat

forgot about the "going to a big club to win things" jibe as well

For a player to be forever tagged with "judas", they need to shaft the club

Eg - holland - handshake deal, pic with the shirt then shafts us for the scum. Petrovski, signs for the scum and then bags the club.

Both Kwas and Tommy left on good terms and therefore no tag

First I've heard of this. What did he say?

He isn't really bagging the club. He is making a true statement and it isn't even offensive. Critical yes but he has not done anything wrong. He just made a sound judgment that many football commentators, us and I am sure our coaching staff have made.
................Get over it. He isn't Judas. Just a good poacher and an observant man. What John Aloisi did was far worse.

FFT - Elrich As Good As New

EXCLUSIVE: Ahmad Elrich never doubted he would win another fight against serious knee injury and is now all systems go for the Asian Champions League.

Elrich was forced to undergo a knee reconstruction back in September after rupturing his anterior cruciate ligament against Queensland Roar.

It was the second time the player had been forced to endure the agony, suffering the same problem in his other (left) knee earlier in his career.

After five months of hard work he's pulled the boots on again and was reintroduced to the action during Central Coast Mariners' two-game tour of China.

Elrich told au.fourfourtwo.com today: "I'm just buzzing, really buzzing to be honest with you. I feel like a kid again.

"It's great to be out there with the boys and preparing for the Champions League. When I did the knee I knew the ACL was the reward to be gained at the end of it.

"Now I just can't wait to get out there and get into it. I've worked hard, back in exactly five months and a massive thank you has to go to Peter Buffon and Denny Shearwood of the Hills Street Sports Medicine Centre.

"They spent several hours on me each day and I think they've got me back into things in record time.

"The coaching staff and the boys have also been great with their support."

Elrich says a positive outlook has also aided his recovery. He said: "What do you do? You have setbacks, you have injuries in sport. It's how you bounce back that says everything about your character."

And the hard work and hours in the gym haven't stripped Elrich of his sense of humour. "Besides, I've got two new knees now," he joked.

Elrich will continue to work hard in preparation for next week's ACL opener against Pohang Steelers at Bluetongue Stadium.

"It's exciting. Exciting for me and exciting for the club. It's a new challenge and one we want to rise to," he said

The former Wellington Phoenix man admits a good start is crucial. He said: "You want to pick up results away but I think your home home is massive. You have to be winning your home games. We want to get off to the best start we can."

The Mariners face Steelers next Wednesday before travelling to face Tianjin Teda.

Unconfirmed word that the FFA are in a bit of a dispute with come clubs about when to run the next HAL season.

FFA apparently wants August-February, whilst clubs apparently want October -> April

Which would you want?

August - February, yes it would clash with the final rounds of the NRL/AFL but atleast it would only affect the start of the season which few people go to anyway and we would have a monopoly on sports during our finals series

Yeah i think that for now we need the finals series to be clash free. That said, i know it would take some working out to make sure that the scheduled matches do not compete directly with major events, or at least try and not compete with them, but they do pay people to do it, and all codes draws are long since available i would assume. They should easily be able to organise clear weekends for marquee matches. Eg roar/gc derbies, bling/mariners/scum derbys, melb vs bling etc.

With the exception being im sure that gc will play their 1st home game against qld, as would NQ i would think. Though maybe they would play the GC roar match in brisbane, and give gc bling or melb at home 2nd week if clashed with nrl.

But i think i read the preliminary draw had GC playing roar first at home, then playing away a couple of games, i think vs nix and us and melb, before returning home.

No way should porter be relegated to bench. Give him the freedom to scream down the flanks and put in quality crosses. He was one of our best this season

October - April for me, extend the season into Autumn so that the weather cools down for the race to the premiership.

Big and total rumour from another football list:

"Rumour has it that some selected state league clubs from around the country have been invited to meet with the FFA, in a fortnight, with a view to having an FFA Cup competition involving both state & A League clubs. The winner of the cup would get an Asian Champions League spot and the A League winner getting the other ACL spot. The finals system will be dropped".
