still think Mrdja's a waste of money.

We've lost Tommy & Aloisi.

We have Jedinak Simon and Porter as far as I remember.
I'm sure Danny will resign. Considering the legal battle.
If he cant play here for ages but allowed o/s then he'll probably be traded to Sheffield utd.

hmmm im thinking if we have a fully fit mrdja
a goal scoring matty and petrovski then we
dont really need another striker mrdja is as
good as a marquee if he's firing, i say buy a
midfeild marquee that scores and fills
Tommy P's shoes. yeah ?? no ??

a goal scoring matty

How many times has that been said this year. He did get HIS FIRST (even though it was wrongly disallowed) but did he get on his way. NO WAY. He has had countless opportunites to NET HIS FIRST (counted) but his technique lets him down every time.

I know he has scored goals for lightning but this is the big stuff in and he is not up to it.

Lawrie is very loyal to his players and obviously he sees something in Simon that I dont but I hope it doesnt take another year for him to repay Lawrie's loyalty to him. Sooner rather than later for the team's sake (and his own) but I dont see it coming.

If you ask yourself HONESTLY BEFORE A GAME WHERE DO YOU SEE A GOAL COMING in my opinion I dont include Matty Simon.

Matty is a good player
Yes he's missed a few shockers but he is developing quickly and he is a real genuine guy (met him numerous times)
Just give him time

Also,
will players like matty, porter, trott and others play for lightning again like last year?
It would be great for their development as they dont get much game time.

What is he quickly developing into?

Not a goal scoring striker which is the reason he is on the park. He may be a genuine guy and that is credit to him and his upbringing but this is the A-league. In the squad you cant have players as excess baggage. I think Porter and Ogrady are already in the baggage category and Matty's lack of goals has him going there also.

That maybe harsh but if winning the double is what it is all about then we lack depth at the bottom rung of the ladder of our squad.

In my opinion unfortunately those players are already signed for next year.

if he is getting plenty of assists, then does it matter who is tapping the ball over the line?

as far as i know, matty played too much a-league to play for lightning. but i could b wrong, it was just a mate who knows him better than i do who told me. the big guys at CCM are the ones who really know.

As far as I know, Trott, McAndrew, Porter and Simon will all play for CC Lightning this season IIRC.

I do.
the disallowed goal wouldn't open the flood gates because it wasn't a real goal :(
once he finds the back of the net without refs being pricks then we better build an ark for the flood :D

not what i heard. simon has played too much a-league, and apparently porter didnt get along with the lightning coach and is going to play for manly.

id say trott and mcandrew would stay with lightning.

i hope we sign:

a true RB
Maybe a CB with pace if squad numbers allow?
Wide/attacking midfielder
Striker to provide backup to mrdja and sash

what we really need is some more skillful speedy players in the mids that can provide service to mrdja and sash and some speed at the back to stop us being caught out on the counter

Anyone heard of a guy called "Zadco" on another site it is reported we signed him
what site?

isn't exactly wildly popular with the fans at SFC, i can't see where we'd use him and he just isn't really that good.

more rumours of newcastle waving wads at him, and they can have him.

Really, really hope we haven't signed him.

Adds nothing to our squad IMO.
