ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Looks like we can count burns out from a return to the a-league :

Australia international midfielder Jacob Burns has joined Romania's Unirea Urziceni on a free transfer.

Burns signed for the Romanian top-flight club after negotiating a release from his contract with Poland's Wisla Krakow.

I have a brother who currently lives in Newcastle (UK...not Scumville...and YES, I know that means I'm a Pommie.....) who says that all of the goss around town there is that Viduka is coming back to Oz to finish out his playing days in the A-league at the end of the current English season.....too slow or would he fit ?

How would he do for the Yellow and Blue? Would we want him? how could we play him?
We didnt do too well using Aloi$i as a ball holder/distributor for the forwards running through, but Imho if we had Nik and Sash up front with Simon as the extra option, we could definately build around Viduka as a marquee.

well if he went to Melbourne I wouldn't mind either Thompson or Allsopp being dumped by them into our lap.  both have pace and you'd hardly call either of them a fat lazy bastard.....

is Gumps staying or going ?  Miron Bleiberg was keen to get him when he was interviewed on Total Football last week......

I hope Gumps stays...he's a mad exciting player...he's quick, reliable and always has answers!!!
we need PACE in our game...Sash is always running around, trying to creat opportunities but is forever being let down by our slow midfield! kwasnik has his good moments, but they are overshadowed by his hesitancy! GUMPS TO STAY...
in a dream world, lets get Cahill! yeah, that would happen! but sersiously, if that DID happen, I would probably make bluetongue stadium my new home and sleep there every night...

Miron also said that they weren't officially in yet. Them and the Thunder still had to meet some sort of criteria, finincial I think. Once they are officially in I would say they will announce Gumps as a signing.

this would be a good time to see the benefits of the agreement with Sheffield United.,...hey, perhaps Carney will come back to Oz and play....or others from the "sister" clubs we now have....if we withdrew from negotiations with Aloi$i more than 2 weeks ago, then I'd like to think the Mariners brains-trust have already got this sorted....

My understanding of what Miron said (and sometimes he is difficult to understand) was that if they got extra visa players dispensation then he would sign Gumps BUT if it stayd wit 4 visa playes only then he may not sign him.

Like I said he is difficult to understand but that was how i understood him

Iv'e heard through mrja's gf that while his knee is coming along well atm, he is uncertain whether he is staying on the coast. Previously to this i thought he was pretty certain to stay, can anyone shed soem light?

David Mitchell is keen to take him back to Perth. I would hate to lose him. I know there are plenty of detractors, I would keep Mrdja over Aloisi or Gumps any day. He is the only player that I have seen to be a real danger when the ball is at his feet.
