I hope you're right.
I was thinking the opposite actually. GA getting in Ruon's ear to go to Sydney.
Couldn't persuade him during the World Cup games so decided to call him up for the Olympics
to have another word.
I'd be really disappointed if he went to Sydney. I know there's not much loyalty around these days
however I feel Ruon owes us. Picked him up when his career was going nowhere.
To walk out now wouldn't look good.
I hope I'm wrong and we can re sign him & flog him off overseas next year if need be.

I wasn't aware of that.
I'm reasonably happy for him to go overseas. Although I think he could do another year here.
Much better going overseas than signing for another A league club.

Over the weekend, cyclist Cameron Meyer has withdrawn for personal reasons. Following advice from Football Australia on squad changes, Marco Tilio replaces Ramy Najjarine while Jay Rich-Baghuelou comes in for Ruon Tongyik.

It will come out in time. I don’t think anyone should really feed that allegation on any social forum given the sensitive nature of it and whether it is true or not.

Why would you give up on playing the Olympics? Even if he signed an O/S contract, why on earth would you give that up? It's the chance of a lifetime.

On one hand you’d hope there has to be some substance to it to cost the bloke a shot at the Olympics but on the other hand you hope there’s not because it would be terrible if true.

The silence and quiet withdrawal is a worry.

Why would you give up on playing the Olympics? Even if he signed an O/S contract, why on earth would you give that up? It's the chance of a lifetime.

If the contract is worth enough or opportunity good enough it might not be worth risking it.

Much better player than when he left though. When healthy.

Our S&C was near perfect this season.
If TBT can be maintained fit and injury free he could be a surprise bonus.
Still don't like the way he dogged the team that gave him his shot though, and his home team no less.
That said we were a burning bag of sh!t at that time and was probably a smart move
