ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

I'm getting quietly (very) confident about us for next year.

Bloody football, always does this.

Indeed.

If/when we make the two crucial signings that we still need, we should be able to be highly competitive this season.

I'd be pretty happy if I was a Heart Fan too. However they have no depth - few injuries and suspensions and they will struggle badly.

I won't be getting too 'up' until I see us play.

If we play with some discipline, organisation and a demonstrably effective gameplan, then I'll be happy.

If we're just different to but no better than last year then I'll obviously still be on board at every game etc. but won't be expecting the world.

I'm working on the assumption that no way can we be as bad as last seasons debacles so its all up from here.

(Yes, I do know who's mother assumption is)

Ruka Becomes A Free Agent

FC Twente announced Rukavytsya's departure on their official website yesterday, along with Ransford Osei and Wellington.

The 22-year-old Australian striker, who is in South Africa with the Socceroos ahead of the World Cup, leaves Twente after joining the club in January last year from Perth Glory.

Rukavytsya, who was signed by the departed Steve McClaren, failed to cement himself in the Twente side during his spell at the club.

The ex-Glory man scored two goals for Twente during his time in the Netherlands, but was loaned out to relegated Belgian club KSV Roeselare for the second-half of this campaign.

Rukavytsya scored five goals for Roeselare during his loan spell and may hope to re-join the club although they'll compete in the Belgian second tier next season.

didnt twente pay 1 mill or something like that for him
seems like a waste to me now...

Seems a waste to let him go when he is at the world cup, and an outside chance to show quality. Though i guess he could move anywhere on a free, so since he is not tied down, would be no benefit to them

the only chance we have of gettin ruka is if he has a stinker...
If he has a blinder- then he will restart his european adventure

hmmmm
Future of Australia vs Future of Mariners

I will shock everyone, and go for the pro-Aussie hope! He is our future upfront IMHO!
