With Olly, the new Argie, weeMac, Amini, Porter, .... any place for Hutch in te first eleven... or does Hutch become  a bench player... and with Wiklo still be captain..
Good to see your not putting too much pressure on the kid

OK ... let me ask the same question in another way... given the players currently signed and assuming the new Argie is signed ... can Hutch maintain his place in the starting eleven.

Yes but in a defensive role, either him or Porter IMO to play that holding role, personally I think Hutch could do an ok job there.

Most of the pre-season work and work towards the end of last year suggests a 4-3-3 formation so you'd think :

-----Porter----Perez-----Hutch
----Simon-----McBreen---Ollie

If he decides 4-4-2 :

Kwas/Porter----Perez----Hutch/Porter-----Ollie
--------------Simon-----McBreen

Throw Griffiths into the mix too depending on who he starts at the back?

If a diamond 442, I would think

Danny
Pedj Wilko ??? Rose
Griffiths as DM
Kwas/Porter and Bozanic as wide men
Perez at No10
Matty and McBreen up front

Does your side assume weeMac returns or does not return...

                Danny

  Pedj        Wilko          Rose

        Porter        Griffiths

Ollie          Perez        Amini

        Simon      McBreen

or for 442

            Danny

Pedj  Wilko  Swan  Rose

Ollie  Perez  Amini  Porter

      Simon      McBreen

Its a small mid field but i dont think we will b playin the long ball as much and one of the front men could drop back in any case

I was under the impression that Griffiths had been signed as a CB, but with Swan District on his way you'd figure that he won't be too regular in that spot.  I'd suggest he'd be a shot at that DM spot, depending on formation.

I'd actually really like to see Arnold at least try the predominant version of 4-3-3 as supposedly embraced by FFA though, seeing as he has presumably been heavily invovled in its development over the last couple years.

I think the new Dutchie Patrick Zwaanswijk will have one of the CB roles.. with Wilko going to RB.

Meaning Porter moves into the midfield ... were he is a much better player IMO...I like the way you have selected Amini ... this kids has heaps of football folk saying he is our best junior in years .. even that Mariner loving Mrs Football rates him highly... remember Dukes was played for the Knights at 15 & Harry at Leeds at 17...

More likely to see Pedj at RB with Wilko in the middle.

Cant see a reason why wilko would move to RB?

I'd think pedj/grif would be more liekly there. If swan comes in he would surely take doigs spot at CB?

Wilko played pretty well at RB in season 1 though.
Doig and Dutchie to fight out for the one spot.

Have you got Danny as a lone striker or is Bozanic on the right?

Hutch is a better player than Porter.  He also wont be lazy anymore as he is no longer a protected species.

He was awesome when Travis and McGlinchey were playing well in the centre at the start of the season.
