My guess is Kwasnik & Doig are the two players GA is trying to unload.

You guessed wrong, given the number of left sided players GA has signed what does that tell you about his thoughts about the people he had left to him from LM?

Kwassie can't leave
I can't experience that pain again :(

You mean the time he verbally agreed to a new contract with us, then signed for Wellington for more $$ at the last minute?

not 100% accurate Grunta you should know that ;)

So 22 signed, with 6 u21s and 4 foreigners, no marquee.  Reckon this is it or is there one last (cheap backup forward?) to go

So we are on 22 players - with the supposed smart money saying we will lose Doig and Mrdja as well. Back to 20. I think there is still a good chance that Wee-Mac will show enough at the World Cup to get a gig back in England/Scotland. So I wouldn't be surprised us being back to 19.

ATM our left side looks decidedly stronger than the right so I'd like to see a better RB, a better RM and another striker. Looking at the number of youngsters we have, and assuming that the three listed do go, then surely we have cap space, I don't see why the three couldn't be first choice players.

Any word on any RM signings?
GA only mentioned a striker and CB to Mick when he bumped into him...

We should have a big gap in our cap, particularly if we are releasing Nik and Doig. A lot of our squad is very young, too, so I couldn't see them being very expensive.

probably as dj said - another forward, possibly replacing a current one, and a right midfielder

So you need to let someone go to sign both?  Not sure anyone has run with a full 23 yet have they?

I can understand Doig, but wouldn't you keep Kwas?
I'd say he would be pretty cheap and can back up a lot of positions.

For mine its the other way round.
If you can get Doig fit he would be in top 3 centre backs in OZ.
I dont see either of them leaving as they are signed for this season. Next year they will both leave unless Doig has a injury free season and he may get another year.

If GA wants them gone, he just has to bench them until they find a new club. Then the club and the player can "mutually agree" to terminate the contract.

It is no good to the player if he doesn't play.

He might be good, but perhaps isn't in GA's plans for the next three years.
Need to free up some cash for a good RM, too.

I would think Arnie wont make any rash decisions on players futures until after the World Cup. I would rather see a small striker come in rather than a RM.

With Olly, the new Argie, weeMac, Amini, Porter, .... any place for Hutch in te first eleven... or does Hutch become  a bench player... and with Wiklo still be captain..

OK ... let me ask the same question in another way... given the players currently signed and assuming the new Argie is signed ... can Hutch maintain his place in the starting eleven.

Problem is the same problem as to why he is out here. Constant injury. If it was not for injury he would not be here. If he cant stay uninjured then he is not worth much.

He looked the goods in preseason, but didnt seem to have the same affect when coming on after his injury

You would think with arnie suggesting to porter dm, that he may be going to take hutchs place in the starting side in theory at least. But i guess depends on what formation arnie is likely to prefer, which may depend on new signings.

If we dont sign a rm, you would expect one of porter or kwas to take that role i think.

But otherwise wont expect to see lots of amini. Not sure ifg weemac will be back. Even if he is back, going off consistency last season you would have to give hutch the nod over weemac, even more so if you consider then diminished size of our midfield. Does Olly play wide? like lm? or central?
