Is Perez official? Oh please please get us Ruka. Am loving that our coach is GA now. Surely would be able to talk to him a bit whilst in SA.

Ruka would say f**k off Grahame, etc, etc

Why? He's hardly playing right now, has been taken off of Twente's books. Was a star in the A-league and can restart his european career with another season back here. Will more than likely get no game time at world cup unless Kennedy gets injured.. Bring him back as marquee, score plenty and leave again after the season to restart his European adventure.

Ruka was only on the park for the last 15 to 20 mins in the US match...  he was better than Kennedy during that  period IMO...  he is now arguably Australia's best striker... would love him... certainly put some bums on seats as well... everybody loves a striker and a young fast one to boot...

I think it is a stretch to say australias best striker.

Jesus had an off day, but still ranks above ruka. As currently do kewell, cahill, mcdonald, and a host of others who can claim similar if not better success overseas or in the a-league.

Ruka has not proved himself in europe or for the national team yet, til he does he can not claim to be a contender for the top gong. The griff brothers in china would probably argue it as well

Nathan Sherlock training with Sydney.

We need squaddies. He plays CB or RB?

CB - slow and in all honesty, I dont see him at HAL level

Terrible passing from what I have seen as well. In fact, the passing coming from the yoof's backline was what let it down the most in my opinion.

Just doing a quick run down of our squad and I know we have said this before but boy we have some junior talent this year...only a couple of players over 24 / 25....

Starting to feel a tad better about the coming season...

Mustafa Amini .. Les Murry rates this kid as the best junior he has seen since Harry (17 yo) is also a Young Socceroos

Oliver Bozanic .. call it seeing tho Mariner eyes this kid is a Socceroo (21 yo) has already played for the Socceroos

Rostyn Griffiths could be anything massive potential Aust U 16 ( 20 yo)

Sam Gallagher as above has the potential to be anything already represented Australia ( 18 yo)

Trent Sainsbury another  with heaps of potential (18 yo)

lol Gallagher

SHerlock played 90 for us the other night. Didn't shine, but wasn't entirely poor either. I'd  be surprised if he got a deal, but then if he does I won't be fussed either. We need cheap filler.

is Arnie staying in South Africa to tie up the loose ends with our new South American #10 or will he bring the #10 with him in his suitcase?

Mmm....Under 20's was 5 years ago.....playing second tier football in Argentina?? Are we to believe Arnie has spotted something that has so far gone unoticed or (the more likely scenario) he's no bloody good?.....more than happy to eat humble pie on this one however as a bit of South American flair would be a welcome addition to Bluetounge for sure!

I think this is an excellent signing ... if he lives up to his potential in our league he could bring the house down... Is he the replacement for Travis ....

Wee mac may have some trouble getting off the bench ... prehaps needing a new nick name ... THE JUDGE ... always sitting on the bench....

Is this right so far seems we have gone for a very young and more technically talented squad .

Out : Andrew Redmayne, Matthew Crowell, Shane Huke, Brady Smith, Panni Nikas, Dylan Macallister, Jonathan Brown, Andrew Clark, Ahmad Elrich, Nicky Travis, Nigel Boogaard

In : Patricio Perez , Mustafa Amini, Rostyn Griffiths, Daniel McBreen, Matthew Ryan, Sam Gallagher, Joshua Rose, Trent Sainsbury, Oliver Bozanic, Marc Warren

According to Lawries Twitter, Wee Mac is back in Oz so will be interesting to see if he stays.

Brady played for us against Lightning in 2nd half so possibly NYL again?

I'm not sure where they've gone with it this year, there was a rumour that this season (or was it last?) you could have 3 players in the NYL squad who were u21 (ie turning 21 this calendar year) and the rest had to be a year or more younger.  This is to get it fully back to u20 (and presumably eventually even younger).  But I'm not sure if thats going ahead or not.... will try and find out.
