ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Are they still doing that free ticket in the mail thing they did a couple of years back?

I dont recall getting free tickets. Perhaps you are referring to the free entry into the races that GCC handed out with your rates notice.

A day on the punt, an evening at the football and finish off with a fireworks display makes being in Gosford on the last day of the year actually worthwhile for a change ;)

My folks have a holiday house at Wamberal and they got a flyer in the post which was a ticket to the races and advertised the CCM v VIC game on it as well. We got our biggest crowd for the year on NYE last season, so I would expect something over 10,000.

Should be a cracker of a match too, I think the next two games will tell us where we are actually at. Brisbane are obviously the best team at the moment and the Victory are never easy. An unconvincing win over the Fury and a strong defeat of a good team in bad form are still cause to rejoice, but I don't think we can yet call ourselves title contenders. If we don't lose either of these two, I'll be getting very excited.

If he is, that worries me. I watched their match against the Scum the other night and I thought he played very well. We will need to watch him closely.
At the same time, I thought Victory were lucky to win, my first comment was "the better team lost". I felt they only had a couple of shots, and I think our back 4 are better than the Scum's.

I wouldn't muck around with the central defence against Victory - too risky. I'd give Sainsbury another crack first. I would also use McBreen to batter Muscat and Vargas for the first 60 mins then bring Kwas on.

Temptation to play both Perez and Amini if we are behind late and drop Olly or Glinch into DM.
Waits for flames.

I think Sainbury is more mobile than Wilko so i`d have to agree with your back four but IMO I would rather bring Doig into DM.
That would give us a much stronger central defence.

I can hear the sirens KEV...lmao

. doig seems to be the least comfortable on the ball ... wouldn't think this is ideal for a dm

Agreed. I would not like to tinker with the team too much but I think Dutchy wuld make a cracking DM. Tackles well, passes brilliantly and is composed on the ball. Perhaps the workrate needed to play DM would let him down.

Doig certainly does not have the motor to play DM and his passing game is limited.
