ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

..., including a “Charlesworth Out” banner, even though his children heard some of the chanting in the New Year’s Eve loss to Perth.

Boo-hoo ... the poor little pikey-kid's ears had to hear some #CharlesworthOut chants.

What about the thousands of poor Coastie Kid's whose eyes are bleeding week-in, week-out having to watch the shite MC is serving up to them each game.

Add to that, the fact that ALL go home after each home game and cry themselves to sleep.

8.5m might be a bit of a low ball considering the costs of the expansion bids but it confirms there is definitely some interest in us and maybe something will come of that.

.... that an offer in writing of $8.5m from an overseas-backed consortium was rejected ....The deal was brokered by Tony Rallis, the intermediary who brought Usain Bolt to the club on trial,

Soooo, the real offer was made by Usain Bolt.

"If you WON'T give me a contract, I'll buy your piddly club and GIVE MYSELF a contract instead !! "

At the time, I actually hypothesised to myself that ⬆THIS was probably the easiest way for Bolt to become a 'Professional Footballer'
.... just BUY THE CLUB !!

But I thought that once Bolt found out that he wasn't up to A-League standard & was dragging the team down, what would he do with CCM going into the future ???

Perhaps there is more to my hunch on this, as Rallis' consortium of backers is 'un-named'.

If Charlesworth knew Bolt was behind or a part of the consortium he'd most likely jack-up the price for the $100 Million Dollar Plus man .... Usain Bolt.

Existing club with infrastructure absolutely right. 13 for a club of nothing in a catchment in nowhere. He'd want close 20 I reckon.

I suspect he was here to meet with FFA about HAL independence. Now whether that converted to funding for the club I dunno..

I know some people have you being optimistic. I would say given recent license prices for non existent clubs means you are probably closer to the mark. My read is that MC is not after a buyout - but other investors.I have no doubt given the right amount he would sell - but not everyone can sell a TV station to Alan Bond.

Plenty have speculated that he is here to make money out of a property venture but in reality if he got $20m I doubt he would be walking away with much after paying off debts, sustaining losses and investing in the COE.
