Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Nothing like a goal on debut to endear you to the fans of your new club, Good on him.

I really rated him when he was with us, was a shame about the situation he chose to 'align' himself to - as he could of become a a great utillity player and clubman going into the future, in the same vein as Josh Rose with their similar versatility.

Will never forget the away game at The Scumdome last year, McGing see's red early in 1st half & sent off, we go down to 10 men for the remaining 65 mins.
Still 0 - 0 & I was screaming for TW to put Simm on & he finally does with 10 mins to go.

Carney scores 3 mins later, 1-nil to the Scum.

I turned to Dibo a few rows back from me and mates around me & said "you watch, Simm WILL score" - few even laughed
...... & sure enough HE DID !

1 -1 all, 93rd min in extra time.

The away bay went ballistic with joy, TW came over to us and Dean Heffernan did the post match interview right in front of the travelling Mariners supporters, all cheering & grabbing TW over the fence, Heff was struggling to be heard by him because of us.
- still have that interview recorded on my pvr. :tv:

Great memory & highlight that was an otherwise shit year.
...... all thanks to Matt Simm. :)

Wish him well in Sth Africa.

Lol.....our opposition were a disgrace that night. Still Mossy gave him a framed match ball, a further 2 year contract, and allegedly some pretty steamy French kissing as a reward.
The truth is he is an agricultural type of player but he has a great engine and can finish a chance. He never let us down and the only reason the fans got on his back was because of Moss's stupidity.

I can't believe no one has posted this yet... so here it is:

Missed the recording the game, that was a stunner from Tommy.

He’s just raising the bar withe every game he plays, pure class. I'm really excited to see where he's going to take his career
- which of the big clubs/league he may possibly end up.

So glad we can claim him as 'ours'.

Lots of Rogic action coming up with the x2 Socceroos games, then the long awaited 'old firm' derby against Rangers.

Then of the UCL
- first up, on the 14th September against Barca & MSN: Messi/Suarez/Neymar
in front of 110,000 at the Nou Camp.
Phenomenal ! can't wait.

Sorta this is the right thread eeerrrrrr maybe...

Melbourne City have signed Boca Juniors attacker Nicolas Colazo on a one year deal say a 10 for sure. Add Kilkenny , Brattan as DM play makers … with Brandan as well.

The MC front six look like this me thinks.
Kilkenny Brattan
Brandan Cahill Colazo
Fornaroli

Fitzy and Caceres hhhhhmmmmm could be splinters in their back sides which would be sad .....

Your disrespecting the thread, or should I say the players that DO deserve to be posted about in here.

As you say, they'll both be lucky to be conquering 'pine' ! so why post about them on this thread ??

Mariners Stuff Not Worthy of a .........

Celtic smashed Rangers overnight 5-1 in a fantastic return of the 'old firm derby', atmosphere & colour was phenomenal.

Tommy ripped into them from the kick-off with his silky skills, finding space between the lines and in the pockets.

Joey Barton was shite in the midfield for Rangers & Rogic was all over them creating plenty of chances for team mates and having multiple shots himself.

Tommy copped plenty attention for it from the Rangers defenders, but delightfully 'got stuck in' himself - going in hard on many a tackle and winning ball back.

Commentators said at half-time (2-1) he was heading for a Man of the Match game, but unfortunately in the 2nd half it seemed he recieved less of the ball from his team mates, and Brendan Rodgers disappointingly subbed him off just before the 60 mins iirc.

He looked devo'd when he saw his number on the board, probably hoped to redeem his penalty that he sky'd against them in the Cup final that gave Rangers the win.

Shame, as it looked certain from his 1st half that he would get on the scoresheet, especially as Rangers went down to 10 men from a deliberate handball from Philipe Senderos that was pure daft o_O has to be seen to believed.

Senderos got a second yellow and was Senderoff :p

All the goals:

Highlight of the game for me was when the Rangers got a throw in and their player looked to the Celtic ball boy (no older than 9/10yo) who was siiting, leaning against the advertising hoarding with a ball next to him at an easy arms length.

Rangers player stands still on sideline, cocks his head, as if to say "are you going to throw me the ball? "

This Celtic kid just blank stared him down with a "fcuk off ya Hun" look on his face.

Rangers player walks over, picks up the ball - takes the throw.

In the background you can see Celtic fans leaning over the fence and cheering & ruffling the wee-ins hair with atta-bhoy's
...... priceless.

Gotta love the hate of a derby
