Mane's impressiveness must be irritating some people. There were a few comments flying about how shit he was around the same time all the rumors came out about how we were being locked out of bluetounge.

he was impressive.

I don't know what to think to be honest...
Bosnar was all over the place for the better part of the first half but seemed to get a bit more stable, further in I thought.
I don't understand having Sim start, he did alright, but I think Fitz would've done better from the start.

On top of everything else, from experience, the derby isn't normally all that representative of the quality of the football being played by either team, at the time. Usually, the Jets lift at the same time as they manage to pull us down towards their level.

But Duke... And Mane!? Oh boy, could be fun to watch this season I think :) If Matty's anywhere near the form we're going to be a lot scarier than most people think ;)

Disappointingly mediocre I have to say, but I'm hoping that's the Jest's fault ;)

Well that was shite if I'm honest.
Thank God we got out of jail but we were playing probably the worst team in the comp and were very lucky to get the points.

The set up is horrible. Wake up Mossy! Are we men or mice because me play like we are addicted to cheese and are happy to draw every game with the occasional sneaky 1 nil win.

Player rankings.....

Reddy 5.5. A couple of great saves but sloppy at times.
Roux 6. Missed an open goal by not backing himself. Solid defensively but didn't create much.
Ando 7. Good game. Looked quite impressive.
Bosnar 7. Decent.
Rose 6. You can do better Rosie. With our pathetically defensive set up we need you to attack down the flanks as f**k all is going to be created up the middle.
Kim 6. Firstly toughen up Princess, you are not rolling around for Sydney FC. Mixed game, great in patches but not consistant.
Hutch 5.5. I don't want to comment.
Monty 7. Good game.
Sim 6. Two terrible misses. Sim is a solid pro but showed that Mossy is a state league coach by starting him in front of Vernes and Fitz.
Mane 8. Our best player.
Duke 6. Worked hard and did a lot defensively but that is not his job. The goal looked like a lucky shank.

Moss 3. We were gash again. The set up is terrible. The obvious changes at half time were Hutcho for Caceras and sim for Vernes.
We fluked as win against a shit side.
Shit and boring Football.....I had to apologise to my guest who had never been to a Football game before......thankfully the YA and band kept him somewhat entertained.

We have 4 creative players in Kim, Caceras, Fitzy & Vernes and arguably Jacob Poscoliero... we started the game with only one ..

Sim, Cernak, ahead of Caceras, Fitzy & Vernes ..

I got the feeling a side was chosen hoping not to loose...

I watched the MV V WSW and SFC V City ... and wonder how we could win without our more creative players on the park and we don't have Ibini returning to help this year...

With Fitzy, Caceres and Trifiro on the bench, does anyone think that Mossy has one eye on the FFA cup? If it wasn't for the cup, today's starting lineup may have been significantly different.

Also, tifo was good but the yellow writing on the white background was ineffective.

There was something odd about the angle as well. I'm in the upper deck of the western stand and couldn't read the words. Some thought needs to go into increasing the angle on tifos like these so they are more upright.

The band, as ever, was brilliant!

Lol.
Maybe all the negative winging about Hutcho around me had an influence but maybe the fluent bollocks they speak on Coast FM is the reality.
I have never heard them not rate Hutcho.
The only positive for me was when he did his ridiculous trade mark dive forward he actually jumped up with the ball still at his feet and went forward.

Hadn't thought of it that way. I'd like to win the Cup - but the HAL should be our priority
