ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Even though I haven't followed the Bears in some time the thought of setting foot in Brookvale still makes my skin crawl.

Aye, I'm much the same as a Parra fan.

I think North Sydney Oval is a great choice, seems pretty easy to get to, plus plenty of people on the north shore so hopefully that'll get some interested.

20% of our members South of the Hawkesbury?

Well played Sydney FC, well played.

This is a brilliant initiative, we should play one at Brookvale too at some point.

. i couldn't give a shit about how poorly marquee fc have done

. 20% of members though, that is revealing ... and quite honestly a sad indictment for the coast

Brookvale is harder to get to. My vote is to limit the "expansion" to NSO for the time being.

If we want to consider moving a home game to NSO in the future then it should be no later than Christmas. I believe from Christmas onwards we definitely need to make BT our fortress and not screw around with playing home games away.

. personally i don't think any home games should be moved away from the coast ... the club is finally starting to re-engage with the local community - there should be no suggestion a move may be possible

. by all means engage with the north side on the south side ... but i feel we are still seeing the after-effects of the canberra debacle. the 'community round' should be the limit

The club would be crazy to move a home game to NSO, but can see no harm in moving a pre season and/or community round game there, 1 in 5 members South of the Hawkesbury is a pretty impressive figure given there is none of the media coverage by the local papers here.

That has been pretty consistent throughout ... I train it, but try driving back south right after the game and note the traffic

Don't forget the expat factor though. There are quite a few ex-coasties I know of living in Sydney but still support the hometown club. I know of a couple more who are signing up as members for the first time this year.

We're not really Sydney people turned off that club (and for mine, I'm not particularly hostile to SFC, as the vast majority of my mates down here are SFC fans and I catch the odd game when we're playing away or not playing that day) - we're basically Coasties who happen to have addresses south of the Hawkesbury.

I think it's a good thing for the Coast that there are a big number of us mad enough that we take on a three hour round trip every second weekend to see our hometown club.

With the supporters' club starting up, it'd be great to get a bit more info on what the 'typical' Sydney-resident Mariners supporter is like - expat, ex-Spirit supporter, SFC/WSW-hater, bandwagon hopper, etc.

I think that'd be a great idea, would like to find out what the bloke with a Mariners sticker on his car down the street is doing, whether he is an ex-coastie like me or just someone who doesn't like SFC because of the way the A-League snubbed the old NSL clubs.

If you live in Stanmore it's probably me! :p
