ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Seriously? There are four CCM supporting households in the space of about a kilometre then. Assuming you're actually on our street, there are three on one street and one just around the corner in Petersham. There's another further over in Petersham but he's moving back to the Coast any day now.

We should talk to a local pub about getting a regular hangout going for away games.

I'm starting a new thread.

Don't forget the expat factor though. There are quite a few ex-coasties I know of living in Sydney but still support the hometown club. I know of a couple more who are signing up as members for the first time this year.

We're not really Sydney people turned off that club (and for mine, I'm not particularly hostile to SFC, as the vast majority of my mates down here are SFC fans and I catch the odd game when we're playing away or not playing that day) - we're basically Coasties who happen to have addresses south of the Hawkesbury.

I think it's a good thing for the Coast that there are a big number of us mad enough that we take on a three hour round trip every second weekend to see our hometown club.

With the supporters' club starting up, it'd be great to get a bit more info on what the 'typical' Sydney-resident Mariners supporter is like - expat, ex-Spirit supporter, SFC/WSW-hater, bandwagon hopper, etc.

Another expat here - lived on the Coast for 15 years, then spent the last 7 years (with the exception of 18 months back in Gosford) living in northern Sydney. I've been in Artarmon for 4 years (about to sign up for another year), yet I'll always call the Coast home. It's always a nice feeling crossing the Hawkesbury heading north...

Ex Spirit supporter, from day one SFC had no appeal to me and as soon as there was a team on the Coast, with mostly the ashes of Northern Spirit FC then it was a no brainer.
