Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Last game of the season (12 April) in Brisbane could be a blast - Brisbane is always a good away trip.

Tough end of season for us. In the last five three away games plus WSW and Jest at home. Last two are away.

Maybe not on the pitch, but I was talking more about the overall experience - pubs, people, it's a great fixture.

Opposite sides of the country too...

Wonder how the ACL will fit into all this.

Matchday 1 is between Round 20 at home against the Phoenix (Friday) and Round 21 at home against SFC (Saturday).
Matchday 2 is between Round 22 away against MV (Friday) and Round 23 at home against the Jets (Saturday).
Matchday 3 is between the Jets game and Round 24 away against the Heart (Sunday).
Matchday 4 is between Round 25 at home against WSW (Saturday) and Round 26 away against Perth (Saturday).
Matchday 5 is between Round 27 away against Brisbane (Saturday) and the elimination finals.
Matchday 6 is between the elimination finals and the semi-finals.

The round of 16 starts after the GF.

Here's the Wanderers' schedule for comparison:
Matchday 1 is between Round 20 away against Perth (Saturday) and Round 21 at home against the Jets (Sunday).
Matchday 2 is between Round 22 away against Sydney (Saturday) and Round 23 at home against Adelaide (Saturday).
Matchday 3 is between the Adelaide game and Round 24 at home against Perth (Sunday).
Matchday 4 is between Round 25 away against us (Saturday) and Round 26 at home against Brisbane (Saturday).
Matchday 5 is between Round 27 away against Melbourne (Saturday) and the elimination finals.
Matchday 6 is between the elimination finals and the semi-finals.

My vote for the ToD is Perth. It's the only venue I've yet to see the Mariners play at and I wouldn't mind seeing their new stand. Given that the game is in April, there's plenty of time to save up some $$$'s.

I'm surprised WSW only have 2 away games on FTA. I would've thought the viewership would've been huge amongst non-travelling fans.

Must be the markets where they rate the highest?

Unless I counted this wrong, here is the breakdown of our home games (incl the Community Round):

Friday: 2
Saturday: 8 (4 afternoon, 4 night)
Sunday: 2
Tuesday: 1 (NYE)
Thursday: 1 (North Sydney)

6 late starts + NYE....
4 Saturday Afternoons
2 Sundays afternoons...
1 Thursday nigt

IMO the best we have had I think our best crowds are Saturday nights, then Friday nights .... Afternoons have always been difficult and Sunday afternoon the hardest so given we need to share Sunday afternoon and Saturday afternoon I think this is the best draw we could have hoped for...

As an aside a Thursday night at NSO could be OK if enough office workers come...

Saturday night games at Bluetongue are a real PITA to get back to Sydney from if you're taking the train - you either have to leave the game early or hang around Gosford station until after 11pm. It's actually easier to get a train back to Scumland...

. may i suggest taking this up with the club ... to see if they push shitty-rail for one service on game days

. effectively 4 times a year ... if they genuinely want to crack the north shore it makes sense

I'm very keen for a few away games this year! I've already booked flights for the Adelaide game in February. My wedding falls on the same day as CCM v Perth in Perth so that's out for me! Hoping to get to do Perth away in November however, and will begin saving for Wellington away! Once I've covered them two, I've been to all stadiums.

rbakersmith, I just noticed there is a huge gap between trains at 9:38pm and 11:14pm! That's shocking. I'll make mention of this. Wondering what support would be like for a supporter bus from Hornsby??

The train timetable doesn't affect me but as the problem seems to be the wait for a train after the game, I was wondering whether a (slightly) cheaper option is to organise a bus one way from Gosford to Hornsby, rather than a return journey from Hornsby. It would be worth putting it to our supporters in the "disputed territories" to get their opinions.
