ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Controversy

Tongue may have been a little bit close to my cheek.....but Dibo refused to bite.

I'm not sure who is to blame, the club's fiscal policy or the Coaching staff. TW has a good record on paper but recruitment and developing kids is different to organising a competitive Football team on a weekly basis.

To be honest if Tony had been left alone to play his shock and awe Football (7 attackers and 3 defenders) we would have won more than 3 games this season. But it was crazy cavalier stuff.

What has been clear is that defensively we are woeful and have been since the second game. TW and Hutcho have not rectified that at all. To top it off we have continued to play a young mistake prone keeper who is clearly out of his depth at this stage of his career.

Our 1st team coach, assistant and Goalkeeping coach are all very very green.
Do they have the skills to improve us next season or will we see more of the same?

I'd love them to come good, bring in some quality, blood the youth properly.

I do feel the most important signings with be quality keeping coach and someone to come and show the players how to tackle in the box, how to head a ball properly, how to anticipate, how to shut down space, how to pick up and explain the importance of defending goal side (someone like Dutchy)

Regardless, i'll be there next season.

But if the dross continues I wont be able to be so calm;)o_O next year.

Interesting summation of TW's recent post game interviews on FB by a guy who reviews interviews for a living.

I don't know how you link to a comment in a post but somewhat damning for someone who prides themselves on being a "leader"

Even funnier are relatives of Reddy getting very upset about the "alleged" assault story being outed.

First time I've seen it in print and if I was CCM I'd be deleting that quick smart. Lol

Who's this "guy" on FB, that 'reviews interviews' for a living that has this intrresting sumation of TW ???

:vhappy: I love the kool-aid references... just because someone doesn't subscribe to your way of thinking doesn't mean they don't accept there's something wrong.

I'm not even sure TW is the best option for us but I'm not prepared to throw the baby out with the bathwater, so to speak.

As for "read it for yourself"?

Where? Link?

I think Tw and Hutcho should fly to England (after Sat) and spend some time with our strategic partners Everton and Sheff Utd.
Look at how they do things. I'm sure they could learn a massive amount in a short time.

Hutch can pay for it with his new pay rise (that he is wanting with his contract extension)

I hope that is a joke?

Hutch and TW should get a 12 week contract. If we are performing well, this can be extended until the end of next season. If we continue to be thrashed each week.....thanks but its time for a new role.

If it was performance based this year they would be on minimum wage.

Tony and Hutch should be extremely grateful to still be employed.

He was in Wales I think.

Wales, Sheffield.... It's all the "West-Danish provinces" to me ;-)

Thanks though - I remember that he went to the UK - for his licence? - thought he had some engagement with Sheffield along the way but it was probably just me imagining stuff again ;-)

In what job wouldn't you push/ want a pay rise in renewal of a contract? Its just common sense he does, but I agree its not justifiable.

What job ?

One where you've just completed your first year on the job - STRAIGHT OUT OF SCHOOL ....... which is the circumstance Hutch is in.

He wouldn't even pick up a gig in the NPL, maybe an NPL2 club lower on the ladder might give him a go but even then he'd be competing with Coaches such as the Branko Culina's, Grant Lee's who are ex NSL &/or have years of experience and the runs on thd board.

Hutcho is extremely fortunate to have been given the opportunity that he has as an A-League Assistant Coach, straight from playing and with no experience other than jointly Coaching the C.C.United FC U18's for a season with Sully.

Contract roll over 4 Hutch.
NOT A DIME more !

Personally I'd rather Zwanny ( Mark Rudan thinks he's better than Mark Rudan, thats saying somrthing ) ,

Zwaanswijk would/ or could imo instill a better culture within the dressing shed, which I think was one of the reasons why (keeping the club culture) Hutch was given a go without any experience ...... hoping that a 10 year, foundation player & former captain could deliver and retain that.

Was told by a former player, by all accounts he'd lost a great deal of respect from his former teammates from the season before once he hung up his boots for the whistle and clipboard.

If that is really the case then it shouldn't matter anymore - we don't have any former teammates do we? ;)

Yes, but although the soil may have been 'turned-over' with release of players, the seeds of discontent may yet sprout within the 'crop' of new players.

Symbiotic infection.
