ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Contract roll over 4 Hutch.
NOT A DIME more !

Personally I'd rather Zwanny ( Mark Rudan thinks he's better than Mark Rudan, thats saying somrthing ) ,

Zwaanswijk would/ or could imo instill a better culture within the dressing shed, which I think was one of the reasons why (keeping the club culture) Hutch was given a go without any experience ...... hoping that a 10 year, foundation player & former captain could deliver and retain that.

Was told by a former player, by all accounts he'd lost a great deal of respect from his former teammates from the season before once he hung up his boots for the whistle and clipboard.
Zwaanswijk sued the club - I doubt he'd be seen working for the yellow and navy again.

Kwazzy does the school programs and community stuff, thats it. No involvement with the first team.

His role is around community relations isn't it?
Often see him around the pitch on game day is that just for the radio commentary?

For Zwanny - it seems like there's been a lot more talk about - and with - him, since Walmsley came back and especially since the management clean out.
I was wondering whether - true or not - any issues have been pinned on former management...

It was all to do with former employees.

you do realise TW was previously employed by Sheff Utd? Im sure he is aware of how they do things...

Yeah...i started off typing Everton then thought I'd throw in The Blades as i figure he would be looking at what they do through different eyes now.

Zwaanswijk didn't sue the club, he threatened to - big difference.

He still recieves a pay cheq each month, so obviously an agreement was reached between him & the club - who seem to have come to their senses in that in this day and age you can't just sack a Coach or player and expect 'not to honour' the contract like the days of old.

Which is a good thing.

And as PJ points out Zwanny IS playing this weekend as a part of a club promotional community event which is hoping to become an annual event pre- derby with the Scum.

There's no doubt he would, if given the opportunity, to coach again at a club that is dear to his heart.

That's a shame. Would of been good to see 'McBreen the goal scoring machine' in action

Most likely because McBreen's Edgeworth Eagles play Lambton Jaffas in the opening round of the Northern NSW NPL competition on the Saturday at 12:45pm.

"who seem to have come to their senses" seems a bit of an odd line - off the top of my head, none of the senior staff involved when PZ got the sack are there now?

Who ?
Odd ? o_O

Odd is your interpretation of the written word and not relating it to the the context.

'Who' doesn't have to be a particular person that is employed by the club in relation to what I said.

"who" is the club, as in an entity.

MC as the owner - ultimately it's his decision in this instance whether he wanted to fight Zwaanswijk in court or not.

Guess he chose not to.

Hope that's a little clearer for you

So this formatting thing, can I do it too? :vhappy:

(yes it's clear - I understand your point).

A general question as I've seen it around a bit - so many comments on this board seem to be sure in their knowledge of "who is still collecting a paycheck from the club" - PZ above is one such mention, I saw someone else say the same about Seip earlier in the week.

How many on this forum are privy to the clubs' financial records to know this sort of thing? Or are people just making assumptions?
