ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Turbulence (then calm sailing, then turbulence) thread.

I don't even know what people are worried about - there's still 10 games to play, that's30 points when we win them all. with other results going our way we can still be premiers
The premiership is out of reach but scraping into the six isn't. Imagine the online spewing from other fans if we went on and jagged the GF.
Especially if it was against MVC and we won it with a bad penalty call.

He is talking the right talk:

“Mariners in the community, giving youth a chance”.

I'm reasonably positive about these changes. Actually starting to look like we have a plan. I realise the proof is in the pudding but on the surface it looks like Storie is making some good moves. Also shows MC is in it for the long term and isn't just going to cut and run. Lets hope Storie opens his eyes and sees that NSO is a no go.

Will be interesting to see how the community part plays out.

One thing that doesn't really make sense is giving two youth spots to Everton. This means two Australia Youth don't get a go and we won't benefit from transfer fees when they leave. Seems to go against the overall plan. The Everton boys would have to be amazing players for them to be worth it for us.

They will be light years ahead of our youth players.

Its important we involve Fabio but not rely on him to get us a result .

This.

It seems our latest tactic is to get it to him asap, then stand by and watch him go. Others teams then load him with three defenders and get the ball back.

Need more balance to give him a fair chance.

We did this with Flores too I thought. Arnie has a better squad and is a better coach (or at the least a more developed coach than Mossy) so going to be very tough to pull out a win.

Last time SFC didn't just bang in goals, their movement was vastly superior to our own. They cruised through the middle of the park.

Be interesting to see how he looks to both contain this and improve our own. Will need several key players to step up.

Was nice to see our wingers respectively looking for the ball over and down the line when usually they would drop back to receive a short pass on the ground, and we'd be easily pinned in our own half. Not long ball, just a bit more direct and with a bigger range of passing than we have been utilising.

An encouraging post by Erin Morrow after tonight's OSC meeting with Peter Storrie:

Good meeting with Mariners Executive Vice Chairman, Peter Storrie and @CCMSupportClub people tonight. It's a promising fresh start to engaging with the club's senior management and ownership. Thanks for all the messages. Every question sent to myself and to the OSC was discussed. The committee Secretary will document the discussions over the next few days and we will advise OSC members first over the next week.‪#‎FanEngagement‬

On a related note, the OSC sent a letter to Damien de Bohun last week following the letter that was sent to MC (and the subsequent discussion).

Sam Chadwick (GM A-League Operations) replied on his behalf - you can read the response here.
Disappointing reply imo. No real agreement and no assurances. Take New Year’s Eve match for example, would not commit to scheduling it in the future. Just a wall of corporate text.

The response was typical corporate, two things stood out for me, first FFA are now fully aware of the fans and what they want and remember some of us send direct letters to David Gallop some weeks back.... second and HHHHMmmm is this a concern or not I am unsure but the reply was left to a staff member meaning Damien passed on the problem to a worker meaning it was not important enough for him to directly reply [maybe I am over reading this part]

I must admit I am disappointed a fans forum was not held by PS at a club nor to my knowledge anyway were he opened up a communication channel to the fans ...

A BS reply from the FFA, says FA. Also very disrespectful of Damien De Bohun to forward to his PA Sam Chadwick to respond on his behalf. Gives us a true reflection of what they think of the little club up the Coast !

Tis a good sign that we have the courage to change the coach...

It looks like Storrie managed to convince MC to finally open the purse strings (there's gonna be one hell of a payout involved to punt Moss).

Hopefully this will extend to paying for some better players for next season.

I've got a feeling that this is the case. Me thinks we will see a very different side next year & an o/s manager

I suspect you're right. We can't shrink to greatness.
