ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

The official Aloisi is a disrespectful arrogant f**kwit of a human being thread

whilst talking about badge pounding.....i rofl'd at Caceres pounding the badge and kissing it after the game as his track record suggests that it was not sincere

Dude he is obviously very happy to be here. He is getting a start and is playing some beautiful football. He has been given a chance to shine by Lawrie and has proven and the fans in turn love him for it. This in contrast with the last two clubs who he was with where he was always regarded as the super sub and never really given a decent shot. Why wouldnt he "pound the badge" after what the Central Coast has given him?

+ 2

The mariners have given him what his other teams could not. He should be kissing that badge like no one else. He is now being talked about for a socceroos spot for the indonesia qual. because of the foresight of LM & co.

Any player that pulls on the Mariners jersey should be proud to do so, no matter how many clubs they have played for in the past!

whereas jedinak on the other hand..

The reasons for the bage love from Caceres and Jedinak differ greatly. If you cut him open Jedi's heart would be the badge where as Caceres does it in gratitude IMO.

Couldn't give a toss about a) Aloisi and b) players pounding the badge.

a) He went home with no points, took a shit penalty and was lucky Pedj was too quick.  He had a shit game and still has more pressure on his shoulders than every other player in the league.

b) As long as a player puts 100% in for their team I'm happy

His actions said to me that he had something to prove, whereas the John Aloisi that came to this league last year had nothing to prove.

Why would you want to show people your name when you are having a poor season and can't even score a penalty at the first attempt?

Obviously feeling the pressure if a couple of thousand boo-ing Coasties get to him so badly.

On the badge pumping Mariners, it's interesting. I think we all know the days of Jamie Harnwell-type loyal players are long gone, although at the Mariners we have a culture of loyalty better than most. So you see guys like Caceres and Jedinak pumping the badge and you can't begrudge them that. They're not doing it because they'll play here forever, but because they appreciate what this club has done for them.

Personally, I hate the whole badge kissing thing.

When someone has done 10 years at 1 club and scores, fine. But a player (whoever they are) who is on a contract with us that might last a few seasons looks seriously naff TBH.

So you would like to ban badge kissing in the A-League for all players until 2015?

No because Jamie Harnwell has played for glory for 10 years

Please.

How long till we see someone do a "Fat Frank"/Joe Cole and move to another club and kiss their badge as well?

Is it the same club?

Considering the shed boys celebrated 10 years of the glory last year I would say so. They came back after the formation with the same owners, colours and badge and playing out of the same stadium.
