Sigh...
"If we lose we have major problems..."
If we lose it will because of a reason. Could be major but most likely not.
Your a ridiculous absolutist Kareem.
It's as foolish to say... if we win we'll be unstoppable from now on.
What if we lose after a tight game away where we were in front by 1, then the ref gets fooled by a Bertos dive... Danny's sent off, the pen is converted... its now one all. We still play brilliantly with ten and give them nothing... But then they get a fluke and foul goal like Perths recent fourth in the last minute of injury time... We've just lost... Major problems kareem?? (Apart from another Danny brain snap I'll give you
)
OR...
we could win 4,2... but have played like shite like Perth did and still potentially have major problems...
Absolutism is for the religious, young or foolhardy...
"ummm....look at our form? Have we won 2 in a row yet?"
Double sigh...
Like woah.... your right.. we're as good as screwed this week then! Might as well forfeit and put the airfares towards a new coach who likes players that rate highly in the El Kareemo book of... Woah! Kewl style man!
Or...
How about only lost two in seven.
Best defensive record in league.
Sitting in 3rd, only two pints from top...
Just thrashed comps form side, squad has found balance and best we've looked in a loooong while... possibly best we've ever looked to be honest... Just ask Foster
We may lose, we may win. But it'll still only be what it is, and won't mean we will regularly win two in a row... or be unable to win two in a row...
If people are concerned with consistency, I understand, but you have to look at the squad changes and tinkerings that have been occurring, and then if your rational take real fortitude from the way our squad presented and gelled in last weeks game. My point being that we have more reason to believe we potentially can win our next game than we have had for a goodly while!
But regardless Kareem, I don't go into our games with a sense of trepidation and doom ever...
It's something as a player, coach and supporter I've found to be pointless at best and harmful at worst. My 12 year old does... but he's 12 and is learning with time that his own personal feelings do not influence outcomes except generally his own personal experience leading into a game.
