Well what a game - really hard to fault our guys in all honesty. Probably needed to be a bit harder around the box and our ball distribution at times needed work but on another night we would have had 10.... Their keeper played out of his skin and the two or three goal line clearances as well....

Porters runs down the right were what we needed and it will be interesting to see if he can continue....

Now some items that really pissed me off

1) Kosmina - enough said (yes its a gimmee but) the way he carries on at the end storming of - what a little princess
2) 1st half incident - not sure if anyone else saw it - Matty Simon stomped on near SFC box. Very quick replay but no comment re stomping - hope that match review look at that one

4) Golec great block (handball) should have been a penalty
5) handball just outside the box on the right.
6) Kosmina's bagging our style of play post match.

And a final question - if Sash was fouled in the box - which he was. Then why no penalty. He may? have tried to milk it but he was fouled?

Man up pussy, Melbourne were s.hit last week u got lucky. Tonight the better team were down 3 nil and came back because you can't coach. Some good points boys...i also spotted the stomp on Simon. Mrdja should also have had the penalty but no way sasho's was a penalty....but if he had dived when he was tapped he may have conned the ref into giving one...the pathetic dive once he realised he had lost the ball deserved a yellow.

My opinions:

Christ we are a gutsy team with a massive amount of self belief. We also have the most potent strike force in HAL.  The achilies heel is our defence which is still woeful.  Bojic is superb (but showed too much space on the first goal) and escapes criticism.  O'Grady is simply too slow.
Wilko still fails to close down and allows attacks to open up before him.  Porter is good getting forward and set up the 2nd goal brilliantly but still has no idea about marking HOWEVER he did make a crucial challenge in the last 2 mins which shows me that could make a decent makeshift defender but for mine fullback is a specialist posistion.
D'Appuzzo looks  very shaky.

Danny...bad game. Nearly conceeded 4 goals and not up to his usual brilliant standard.

Hutcho...crap game did nothing.
Caceras...one superb shot but apart from that only average tonight.
Jedi....good as usual...drove forward brilliantly for the 3rd goal..Tied with Simon for MOM.

Simon....what a handful. Good game.
Macca...did some great things.
Sasho...worked hard.
Mrdja...great goal and showed lovely control.

. like i said after the adelaide match our re-discovered fighting spirit is reminiscent of v1. just a shame we couldn't get one more, we deserved a win tonight ... well done boys - i think a bit of credit is owed to wilko, he has copped a fair bit on here recently but i think he is starting to show a bit more leadership when times are tough (more guts, less head down)

. the sydney goals were quite good so no real disgrace there, although there is always questions. casey did well to target pedj while his brain was still rattled but i think caceres could have done more to help out. porter was done over but his recovery may have made things worse (was there a deflection?). and the bullet that was the third - i think danny may have been unsighted??

. what is it with the 'keepers we play against ... they get one blinder of a match a season and it is always against us. the number of times the ball was kept out or cleared off the line by flukey positioning, errant knees or just blind luck was incredible - made for a very tense and exciting match

. i think all of our boys had their noteworthy moments but special mention must go to the ledj ... he is one tough sob. he tried to jump straight back up after the head clash before dylan laid him down suggesting that geyser of blood spurting from his head might need attention. but it is quite sickening to watch one player attacking a ball from height when his opposite is not even watching the ball but just challenges with his body and momentum

. and again well done to the boys .... to sydney : 3-0 and you stuffed it up, royally!

Just got in and will wait to see the replay before commenting in depth but some quick points.

Stringers is just not HAL standard - sad but true.

Hutcho probably put in one of the worst displays in a yellow shirt that I can remember, the faster we can dump him to the bench the better really. All 3 of their goals came after he lost possession and he is starting to get the crowd on his back (a la Spencer towards the end)

If that had ended up with us scoring 6 or 7, we shouldnt have been surprised, their keeper played an absolute blinder. We ought to have beaten them really.

Their young CB (Golec??) looks a quality player.

Kossie is just a shit coach isnt he? Reducing his own team to 10 men by bringing on Aloisi who got pwnd. Lazy, slow and disinterested.

As ever, best away trip of the year, KB was great, we really got behind the boys in the 2nd half and leaving the ground singing 3-0 and you f**ked it up was really getting to them

What a comeback, credit to the team for the never say die attitude.
Just some notes on the game, enough chances to win a dozen games and then the defence/gk goes AWOL at the other end.
Also what the hell did the smurfs have to do to get a yellow card, a player gets his legs taken out in mid air and no card.
As for the Sash no penalty, prob 50/50 and prehaps refs reluctant to give it after the diving by Adelaide vs Perth

Just in ....... what can you say was sitting in bay 32 mostly SFC folk, I still can't talk I screamed so much.

My MOM was Caceras ......... Jedi did some excellent things as well ....... I am starting to wonder if Grumpy would be better than Hutch with the 4 - 3 - 3 formation.

Nik is back, Matty on fire, Dylan playing well, and Sash playing steady with Caceras in behind by F***k we have some strike power just have to tidy up the back.

Any idea why Mendera did not play.
