Still haven't seen a good reason not to get membership. If you go to every game anyway why would you not want to commit to the whole season early, and get a discount. Support your club.

Those of you whinging about our "shit" season, I'm a MFC member. We haven't won a premiership since the 60's. Finished bottom of the table last season and in a race for last again this season. Will I tear up my membership? Hell no. HTFU. :)

Our club has got a philosophy to develop the ..Centre of Australias Football Excellence So before we despise to much about our future let me ask you this.

What was the first club in Hal to set up a junior youth team?

What club runs across six areas and 90 teams and has done so for three years now youth training academies?

What club is building a 50 million dollar training academy ?

What club has sent it coaches to San Polo for training ?

Now you say and I think rightly so we need a better coach?

I challenge anyone  what is more important the work done with the juniors and developing the " Centre of Australian Football Excellence . investing over 50 million dollars in doing so . OR getting an overseas coach

Come on hand on heart .. what is your answer guys hand on heart what is more important hand on heart what will benefit Australia more

Also tomorrow I could get on a plane and get a coach but to get the Centre of Football Excellence " off the ground has taken an amount of decision making / management / ability that is so far above anything anyone else has done far more difficult that buying a new coach look at these links http://marinators.net/forum/index.php?topic=2778.0 , http://www.ccmariners.com.au/default.aspx?s=newsdisplay&id=25638 , http://wm.a-league.com.au/HAL/CCM/ccm_081222_enc.wmv ,  this is  what is before us.

What do you think is better and what was harder to do ??? Even if it was done by Coastal ANGLO Bogans it is way better than anything anyone has done beyond this is the contract with Newcastle University to set up part of the medical school and post graduate business management studies and under graduate sports management schools at " Australia Centre of Football Excellence

Let us be proud and celebrate our club .. we have achieved more than any other club in Hal if we get the Centre of Excellence off the ground .. I still think we are in for a shit year and this maybe LMs last season but I am Mariners til I die and we have a club we should all be proud off.

So go buy your memberships . NOW

you have got me fired up midfielder, that was a great post. i wanna go and buy membership now but i don't think they are out yet so i can't. the only reason i can think of why i wouldn't renew my membership is because i don't know how much money i will have as i have to buy new textbooks for uni at about the same time and they aren't very cheap. BUT i will still do everything i can to get my membership

Yes, yes, yes, midfielder, it is great that the club has gone into a venture to develop a complex that will bring on footballers in this region, and this country.

Maybe you could inform me what the current state of play is with this magnificent venture - the last time I drove past Tuggerah, the old Tennis club was still there and not much had changed.

I, too, would dearly love to see this development completed, but I refuse to hold false hopes that it will happen as planned. It's possibly behind on schedule right now.

Already the club has gone horribly quiet about this major development, and I'm beginning to suspect it won't be too long before we hear of the plan being postponed - probably more from the Wyong Council or the RSL, than from the Mariners.

What then will you make of the club if it is obliged to declare the project off for a good 2-3 years?

For me, I will still be a season ticket holder but if they start fizzling out on promises of good things in the future & cannot get a  decent squad to get casual spectators excited about the season, I can see myself going to the games by myself, as opposed to the last couple of seasons with partner and friends (6 -8 people).

Clarence, construction was always meant to start next year so it shouldn't be a surprise that you can't see any changes when you drive past.

The Mariners expect council approval in June and work to begin in early January, 2010.

.... not really anything else they can say at the moment is there?

I hope they're setting up the boutique ground with the option of converting it to a match venue.

Clarence

A tad suspicious ... my understanding of the time table is

June this year Council Approval.
July 209 to January 2010 plans are drawn up.
January 2010  2 years construction ... will be ready for the 2012 season.

If Lyle and his team can pull this off it will be a masterstroke ... be under no illusion how difficult this must have been to date and until it is finished. Further assume it is finished complete with the San Polo coaching and the Sheffield management model it will underwrite the future of this club.

Your point about who is still going to be there .. me from Blacktown Demons to the Northern Spirit ... as long as the club stands there are many who will be here have no doubt about that.

Also and here I will add Arab , Dibo , FFC Mariner ... what is with all this crap about the .."boutique stadium '' bullshit .... the management of this club will not allow this to happen if LM is moved on then so be it...

Lyle Gorman getting Peter Turnbulls who's contributions (ie firt at SFC, then CCM ) are tremendous. The vision and drive behind their actions are showing the way for football.......... they are IMO the leaders in developing grass roots and facilities...Despite some admittedly dour play on the field at times, the administration of the club appears unparalleled in Australia. the smallest club with the biggest drive.

Hopefully one day the club will truly reap the rewards for its future planning. They have a laudable philosophical (almost philanthropic) aim to become the center for football excellence here and unlike other mission statements they are actively setting the groundwork to achieve it.

Its incredulous that you guys are saying things like this ... sounding more like the  noises made by Fossie if you keep it up.

The boutique stadium was part of the original plan for the development. 5k seating for the playing of trial, NYL and w-league matches at.

Hardly anything wrong to look at the option of upgrading it so we get all the benefits from the ground (advertising, food and beverage, gate money.) at an appropriate size to hold our club.

Mariners til I die. Why would anyone even think about not getting membership?

Exactly adz. To be fair, I've been as critical as the next person with the way things have gone in the past twelve months. I hate it but it doesn't alter my passion for our club one bit. Now is not the time to desert CCMFC. They need our support more than ever. We have to show we care and that we're there through the good times and bad. Anybody who thinks we're going to win the Premiership or GF is every season is being unrealistic. It won't happen and no-one should not buy memberships based on one ordinary season.

If you are a casual observer of this forum or a casual attendee of BT, please re-new or take out a membership. Don't buy a Chinese TV with Kevin Dudd's handout. The best thing you can do is to support a local business and the pride of the Central Coast.

To be honest, it's time we changed the general mood on the forum from doom and gloom to positivity. We owe our owners the chance to turn things around. Up until now, I think generally we agree, that we have excellent management.

As for me, it wouldn't matter if we lose every game for the next five years. I'll sign up season after season and my passion will not change one bit.

Good post ... but five Farking years mate could you not have said 2 years just make me feel a little better...

LOL. you're right midfielder. Let's say two years.

OK ... my wife has given me two pink pills and a blue one for good measure.. + a large strong JD on ice ...

Let me explain ... Clarence posts indicated to me anyway the 'Center of Excellence" will not be build because he has saw nothing being done.

Further Clarence post inferred it will be postponed and maybe never built..

Arab , Dibo , FFC Mariner various post to me sounded like our crowds were going to be so small we might as well play at the boutique stadium meaning 5, 000 to 6, 000 crowd ... and maybe be lucky to get that ...

I found these posts very disrespectful to the club it's  philosophy / thinking and to have gone to far down the road of its going to be shit season so everything going to pot ... when IMO it is not and we are still leaders in building and developing grass roots football and facilities.

Dibo and FFC will no doubt give their own thoughts.

I think that while we would all love to be supporting a CCM side playing out of a capacity 30,000 seater stadium every week it ain't going to happen overnight if at all. That's not being disrespectful,it's being realistic imo.

We don't own Bluetongue and don't appear to have a lot of say in how it gets used.In the future the knuggledraggers will have a team there and we'll have even less say.

We've got the land and plans for the boutique stadium anyway.....it's happening. So why not make allowances at the design stage for the stadium to be expanded to meet our needs as we grow.It may never come to that but surely it's better to think about it at this stage.

I never said let's pack up now and move to Tuggerah!
