ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

May have missed the point here MF

My reference to a small ground was a place like an upgraded Budgie where NYL games and (maybe) a CC NSWPL could play out of.

If you thought I meant a replacement for that souless concrete NRL ground we play out of, you are wrong.

Midfielder: Guess I am more in the "Good Idea, I'll believe it when I see it" camp.

Yourself and others have mentioned the June Council approval stage, so I am guessing the Club will make a press release when that happens. It will go a long way to reassuring people that this large project can still happen.

Since the time of the announcement and now, there's been a major recession hit the world, so it is not disrespectful to doubt that a project of this size may not happen as planned.

In fact, I'd rather the club prune it's ambitions with this project to suit the economic situation rather than going full steam ahead even if it meant running the club into the ground.

And  I hope they have the loans and all things like that sorted, so they can do the project to the full potential - that would be the ideal situation to a fan.

My issue was one of communication. Once again, I have heard news that concern the Mariners from here and not from the club.

I won't be using the "Centre of Football Excellence" as a selling point to my friends for a season ticket THIS season, as even if they get the project under way, the benefits of that Centre will not be reaped until it is under construction, employing fellow Coasties in the initial groundwork and then beyond.

My friends know it is in the wind, but like me, they are waiting on news about the project - post worldwide recession - to see if it's a goer.

One only has to drive to work from the Coast to see evidence of how major projects can get f**ked up royally. The F3 ends abruptly because of changes to the original plan, the M4 ends because of Council objections to it's extension beyond where it finishes (and State & Federal pollies pushing their cause).

Hell, metropolitan Sydney is full of projects that have been compromised or changed to the point that have not reached their full potential because bureaucrats have f**ked it over, or money got tight.

Let alone the memory of Community Centres not built where I grew up, the plans for major shopping centres that ended up as 3 shops and a bottle-o, the list goes on.

My scepticism is well founded in a whole lifetime of hearing of grand schemes that were considerably modified or dropped totally.

Existing reserve seat holders need to re-apply by 22 June, 2009

The website asks for a existing member user/email and password - anyone know where these would come from, or are letters in the post explaining access?

Let the debate over pricing begin!!!

The amount of home games on the coast is very disapointing! We shouldnt be anywhere near Parramatta!

I like the reintroduction of student prices (being a student myself), but i am disapointed in what you get in the membership package.

revision reading: Memberships

i'm reasonably happy with the setup:

adult bay price: 190
per game: 17.27 (priced over 11 games, the same price as last year)

concession bay price: 145
per game: 13.18

concession price is 76% of adult price.

point of reference, last year cove membership prices were:

adult cove price: 169
per game: 16.90

concession cove price: 119
per game: 11.90

concession price is 70% of adult price.

their prices are slightly cheaper generally, their concession price slightly cheaper again, but it's very much in the same ballpark so i think that's pretty fair. no complaints here.

Two of those away games are our home games that have been moved, most likely to canberra

EDIT: just spoke with the mariners office, no the membership doesnt include the 2 games BUT they're working with the FFA to work something out

Chris, I recall a username/password being issued with Memberships last season so I am assuming that..hopefully a reminder comes for those that misplaced that letter.
