ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

poorly researched article on the official a-league website:

http://www.a-league.com.au/default.aspx?s=hal_newsdisplay&id=23162

stringers have been in full training for a week and heff, boogs and mile are all out

Yeh, Matty only played for 10 minutes which is probably a good thing rather than a negative.

And there you go, no Bozza in the lineup. Bugger.

Yeah I dont think Porter will be a defensive mid. Heres what I reckon

                    Danny
Clark    Wilko        Pedj      D'Apuzzo
          Osman      Hutch
Elrich          Porter            Caceres
                Petrovski

I believe we may play 4-3-2-1

                Danny
Clarke-Wilko-Bojic-D'Appuzzo
      Osman -Hutch- Porter
Elrich-                  Caceras
              Sash

This means we can dominate midfield but also leaves us the opportunity to attack with wide players. With the way the Jets line up with Griffiths most likely to play in behind Zura, Hutch could be given the job to man mark him out of the game.
With the bench i believe Heff wont play which will leave 2 strikers and a guy who wishes he is a striker is Stringers.
Very attacking bench and will mean that Sash will have to run for only 60 mins before Nik and Matt get a run.
We will need to score a goals to get a result and it will be a tough way to start season.
I would love to see McKinna start with Matt Simon as he would trouble the Jets defense with a couple out but that depends on how he feels after flight home today.

unless we are goin for a draw there is no way  we can play with just sasho up front and expect to win ..  caceras and elrich especially elrichs crosses would  be useless and wasted if it was only sasho in there to pick  the crosses up . so this means we would have to play very central and along the  ground to feed sasho . i personally dont think with sasho up front we can win. maybe expect the wider players elrich /  caceras to penetrate in  alot more then  the usual run down the line then just whip it in
