BK reacted too late on the Boogard goal + shit positioning. Also it came off his shoulder but there was the hand of god in 07/08 GF so im not complaining.

CCM impressed me in the first half, although the finishing and Bojic's FK needs some work.

f**k YOU MARINATORS WHY MUST YOU TURN SOMETHING BRILLIANT INTO SOMETHING UGLY.

Tonight people (who will not be named) did something very, very good, and what do they get in return- Drinks thrown at them, abuse and expolution from the stadium.

Even after the situation was explained to you, you still didn't listen and the abuse continued. It seriously shits me to tears.

btw; I was in the toilet when we scored and didnt realise we equalised until the 90th minute.

The group throwing the drinks were behind us and making a nuisance of themselves all night with their school carnival chants, chucking their drinks into bay 22 wasnt too clever either.

What I want to know is how the person/s involved managed to nick off with the Scummer flags. And will there soon be video of these flags being burned?

Match tonight ... Mrdja is a worry appears to have lost confidence ... Matty knee seem to trouble him after he went off and I wonder if he needs a rest but we have no replacements...

I tho our first half was class our inability to finish hurt us... Lujo took the game in the second half and it is rare to see a player so dominate a game... one of the best displays I have seen and it is a shame he finds it hard to hold it together as he would on tonight's form go close to a Socceroo call up..

My biggest disappointment was in Dylan Mc ... could not understand why either Travies or Elrich where no on much earlier ... and Travis not at all... Boogs is struggling and I hope one of the trialest is a good right back...

But we had one goal disallowed, hit the post, had another cleared off the line after the keeper was beat.. goalkeeper pulled off a great save in the first half... we missed a couple of headers especially the one late in the first half... Scum got one chance all night and a guy who hardly ever scores banged it in... But that is football ...

Just on the goal .. it was caused I think when Dylan lost a ball  he should not off, in there half and we could not recover from quick balls played wide...

On balance great first half and poor second half ... with the luck going the way of the SCUM... IMO the ref had a good game

That second half was garbage from all concerned.  Worst 45 minutes of A-League I have seen for quite some time.  It was as if they got to 1-1 and both were too scared to lose or some shit.

Defence looked shaky as all hell without Doig there.  That concerns me a lot.

Oh, and f*ck Mrdja off.  What a waste of space.

This just in - Pedj's free kick was sighted half an hour ago crossing the QLD border and continuing to head north at a rapid rate.

I thought Boogard was very good.

McGlinchey excellent.

Kwasnik ran his ring off, had nothing left in the second half which led to Heff being owned down our left..

Last year I knew the team would lift when Gumps came on, all too late usually. Why do I feel underwhelmed in V5 when Mrdja and Elrich are our subs?

Mrdja offered nothing and that is being kind. He did little, wouldn't run, and was continuously caught in the wrong place. He can't read game play and is like a jigsaw piece in the wrong puzzle. As much as you wanna force it in, it just won't, don't, can't and will never, fit.

BrisRecky

I'm an idiot savant without the pesky savant bit
definately missed "Mad" Doig, and what was the idea bringing on the money sponge and elrich...Nicky travis would clearly have been a more viable option than either of those two dropkicks...Wee Mac had a pearler as did Kwas....fox sports was saying the goal wasnt offside..so the liney's need glasses stronger than the refs looks like.....did the squadron rip a flair  or did one of their bongs catch their banner on fire???

Well It was a Derby and most ofetn these games are slug fests, they generally are not pretty nor one sided....

First half we dominated, we should haveled and didn't - the reasons well documented by others

Second half was blah..... but that said it was a derby....

Positives - first half.... McGlinchey, Matty, Hutch at DM and Wilko

Negatives - Second half, The subs, Porter was found wanting by Song..... was a very good tactical change by Cullina at half time.

I thought DMAc dillwell- ran his ring off -problem is he isn't a Midfileder-he is a target man up front...... If anything thishighlighted theneed for Travis with some pace to be the sub...notslow bloody Elrich and "my right foot is there for balance Mrdja"

We dominated in the first half and without exaggerating i could easily say 5-0 but the second half both teams played like crap and F**k Mrdja was hopeless! Mat Simon had played 90 minutes and was winng balls, tackles and headers in outr box while Mrdja played 9 minutes and was walking around in an offside position watching!

Agree with all of the above. Seemed like the 1-1 scoreline was enough for both teams. Spent the whole second half waiting for something to happen. I was getting antsy, and so were the supporters sitting near me. Took a friend who has NEVER been to a football match in his life, and he was sold on it. Loved every minute. He works in Scumsville, and had to catch the train down with the Scum supporters (poor sod), that was enough  to fire him up. He'll be going to every home game now.

Was sitting next to the Marinators for the first 10 mins, then decided to move 'cos couldn't see anything. Mind you, there were plenty of spots to choose from. mmmm.... The crowd didn't look good with 15 mins to go, but filled up a bit after that.

Disco Kid - poor performance, McG - everywhere man, Vuko - very good game, ... just an overall flat performance from the team, just didn't seem to get into second gear.

nothing wrong at all with elrich!!
BUT for the love of christ when you give a man EIGHT EFFIN MINUTES out of ninety
what can you guys expect? in my view not much regardless
why we dropped gumps is beyond me, keeping him on one and elrich on the other
flank and with mcglinchey in the centres, would have had the most forward moving midfield in the league.

mc glinchey needs caceres, and if all four were in ths side, how hutcho stood a chance of surviving the cut, serious Q's need to be asked of LM, BUT suprise! Hutcho remains with his incessant passes back to the defence and Vukos our hardest working midfielder is gone
and i suddenly feel extremely underwhelmed, and not looking forward to an increasingly
dynamic FC, let alone GCU!

we have more options than we care to think lets use them, give lewis a run on the flanks with elrich caceres and mcglinchey, SOMETHING ( who desperately needs support, worked his arse off to no avail)

my verdict time for new regime, LM out! Mrjda goes gumps back in if he is still keen (though not quite sure of the circumstances there) hutcho out (i dont know how he has reached 100)

Can someone say overreaction?

Hutch played a decent game. If he had anyone to pass forward to, he would have, but his options were cut off by the scum defence. Everyone seems to bag his backpasses, but don't seem to recognise most of them are after him winning the ball off the opposition and then keeping posession.

I don't think Mrdja had as bad a game as everyone else thinks, but he didn't do much to inspire. Elrich didn't do any better, but neither were given much time. McGlinchey was MOM for my mind, with Bojic and Simon close behind, though Bojic was definately channeling Mrdja with that free kick!

First half was excellent, we played really well. We were flat after the break (emphasised by the quick goal to the scummers.) First half should have sealed the points, but alas luck turned against us again.

I want to add my voice to counter those who seem to think the performance spells doom for the rest of the season.

There were many encouraging signs...good movement of the ball...finally, some good 'on-the-mark' distribution from Danny...promising contribution from McG...Kwas using his weight and physical presence to dominate...more effective defence....a return to entertainment after the abysmal ACL games....

Only a few negatives....Hutch giving the ball away with his first touch, although redeeming himself later with a near-goal from that free kick...sluggish Mrdja....and some really silly yellows -come on guys, these things add up and lead to suspensions when you least need them...
