Miron's Post Match was good, . "Last week I would have rated their performance, $1, this week, $1 Million"

Miron is priceless and a true gentleman.

Vukovic superb; Boogs a rock; Doig decent; Wilkinson in complete control; Heffernan has learned that defending is fun too; Bojic everywhere; Travis inventive and inspiring and fired up; McGlinchey owned the midfield; Hutch a cool goal he has been consistently superb this year; McAllister much better, brought heaps of energy, gave them no time, will score soon (LOL); Simon, just loves playing against papier mache defenders.
Mrdja - even he ran and held the ball up and passed it; Porter, did ok.

For them - Cullina - did he play? - never once took on and beat a man (unlike McGlinchey and Travis); always passed the ball sideways, nearly always in his own half.
All those Brazilians - huh, buy four, might get one good one (Robson)
Traore - defensive liabilty, another show pony.
Kristian Rees - came from state league and show go back there pronto

This hurts but Breeze's handling of Heff's yellow card was superb refereeing.

Let the play flow and when appropriate brought it back and carded him (he did deserve it). Smeltz got what he deserved too.

Panni Nikos

DM and playmaker - ran the 90 minutes, everything went through him. A sorta Wee Mac/Hutch combo with an awesome shot on him.

Will make HAL

Anyone else think Danny's like a new signing this year ?

His hands were safe as last night and made one or two class saves....especially from the free kick in the first half.....as opposed to standing rooted to the spot.

The brain snap forays to the edge of the box seem to have gone away as well lol!!

Must say it was nice to see a Mariners team that didn't start with Porter, Kwas or Mrdja.
Great performance. Solid defence, allows the midfield to play.
To be fair rb is not Porters position but the defence is just not the same. Hope Diog stays fit.
Go the Mariners. Go the Bay, my mates came down from Port Macquarie and loved what they saw. After a few drinks they were involved in all the chants. LOL

What a f**king turn-around that was from last week, best perfromance of the season by far. Still havn't been able to wipe the smile off my face and i dare say the same for the boys haha. What a difference it makes when you have Doig and Mac back in the middle. I really do think when all fit we have the best defensive set in the league, clean sheet against top goal scoring in league, with Danny rarely being called upon.
How cool was Hutcho's finish?

Great too see some good movement in midfeild and upfront, let's hope we can keep this form up, playing like that we are without a doubt a premiership side.

The only thing i can comment negatively on last nights game is mrdja's lack of finishing (though decent positioning) and the low crowd number. Looking forward to a full house in summer, especially if we can keep form.

+1 , and re the crowds .. school holidays are just around the corner, that might help. Would be great to get the crowds in like it was a few seasons ago... getting there early for "good" seats, really long beer queues, the league's club jumping afterwards, police crowd control, supporter gear flying off the shelves .... the good "old days" ... summer on the coast, I'm loving it.

I couldn't get over Doig's size, he really is a big unit. We have a very imposing back 4 size-wise, and after last night ability-wise as well.
What a wank is that Smeltz. I nearly p***ed myself laughing when he tried to shoulder Heff four times in the back & couldn't even put Heff off balance. Heff totally ignored him and then Smeltz gets a card. Priceless.

Last night's performance was the best I have seen from a Mariners team since I started following them 3 years back. Not one weak link. I can't wait until Trav has full match fitness and can go 90. Mind you, going at the pace he works at most of us lesser mortals might just manage 20 seconds :)
The so-called "experts" in the media will continue to write us down, but after last night I guarantee every other coach & player in the League sat up & took very close notice!

Also relegated our club's leading goalscorer Kwassie to spectator staus when it was crunch time to take AND SCORE a game saving penalty in added time.
The make up of the squad will be interesting in the future as HUKE and CROWELL become available and NIKOS continues to add to the hype he is getting at the moment. It could be a dilemma for Lawrie of the nicest kind.

Not quite true, if you were watching the 2 of them Nikas walked passed Kwas to give him the ball but Kwas indicated it was all his
