Can't think of a better way to watch the Mariners win than spanking the league leaders with goals from Travdog, Matty and Hutchoooooooooooo the hardass

*waits for fruitbat to jump back on the bandwagon*

f**king brilliant game, travis and mcglinchey owned midfield.

Doig can control a backline like no other, I dont remember smeltz seeing the ball in the penalty box, incredible work

3-0 f**k yes

Agreed, 5-0 would have been fair

And what did super expert Simon Hill predict? Well lets hear from the twat himself

Central Coast Mariners v Gold Coast United, Bluetongue Stadium, Saturday, 7:30pm (EST)

Im expecting Gold Coast to win despite the fact they are away and Central Coast do lift at Bluetongue Stadium. I thought the strength of character that Gold Coast showed when they were down 2-0 in Perth last week was fantastic. The Mariners, meanwhile, were really disappointing in going down to Adelaide. Central Coast are a bit out of form and they are not really a team that can afford to be because they havent got quite as much quality as some of the other sides. They are hard to score against and the expected return of Chris Doig will give them a boost at the back, but I really think Gold Coast will have too much up front for them

WOW. Just WOW. We won 3-0 when most fans doubted us, myself included and played beautiful futbol at the same time. One of the greatest performances i have personally seen at Bluetongue.

A 3 goal win over supposedly the best futbol side in the comp while we played Beautifully as well. I think Lawrie should keep it this way and McGlichey+Travis is a winning formula ;D

Put that in your pipe Craig Foster and Smoke it  :tv:

Culina was starting to get the shits by the end as well. all in all a good job and puts us back in touch with the league leaders, now to do it again next week in wellington.

Melbourne should be thanking us as well. might put there season back on track if they can get a win against Cavill Ave up there next week.

Oh and best celebration ever from the boys after hutchos goal!

Culina really is a sulky little wanker isnt he - pulls out of tackles, does the hands on hips thing.

Very unimpressed with him and his attitude TBH

Brilliant Game. Everything we have been asking for for more than a year and a half. High tempo, commitment, possession, balls on the deck and to feet and goals.

WeeMac and Travis absolutely shredded tonight. Its obvious to see that they have been educated at a much higher level than the rest of our boys football wise. Great combination and we need to keep bringing technical players like them in.

GCU really didn't turn up. Nothing like we have seen from them thus far this season. Suspicions of match fixing?  :p

Watching the youth boys run around it was obvious that they are trying to play this way as well. Nikas would be a handy replacment later on for one of these two if they are ever out.

Exactly right. Gold Coast offered none of the ideas and invention we saw from them previously.

And that was refreshing, like slurping down a drink, or splashing on eau de cologne.

Yep, it was Pedj he kicked, then tried to complain that Pedj fouled him, awful.

Nikas was all kinds of amazing in the NYL - call him up and the CCM midfield wil be INCREDIBLE

Add to that a Trottesque performance from that Coastie reject and we absolutely battered them.
how so?
1st and 3rd goal seemed classy finishes
He should have saved Simon's goal...but he didn't.

Not to mention he isnt match fit/sharp! Higgin's injury forced him to play

I will back VS to show his class!

Miron said post-match he didn't think Van Stratten was ready yet and they probably should have given him some more time.

Miron's Post Match was good, only he could lose 3-0 and still be cocky. "Last week I would have rated their performance, $1, this week, $1 Million"

I've missed Miron
