Is Crowell fit enough to play if visa comes through?

Agree with the Breeze thoughts as well given his track record and the fact that we will definatly be targeting Culina we are in danger of drowning in a see of yellow imo! :yellowcard: :yellowcard: :yellowcard:

Should be, he's been training with us for a few weeks and was playing lower league football in England to stay fit.  From reports I have heard he looks like a handy player so fingers crossed.

Some gloss already taken off the game by knowing that Breeze is in charge.

Doubtless he will make himself the centre of attention and ruin it for one side or another.

Well let me spread a little good cheer gents...

At training it looks like we are shaping up with...

          Danny
Boogs Doig Wilko Heff
          Pedj
Travis  WeeMac  Hutcho
    Big Mac    Simon

Haven't seen Crowell, so I think that definitely on current form this is our most balanced squad.

I prefer the 442 -- just think we'd be under too much relentless attacking pressure with a 4321 not to concede to a side with the quality of GCU. So I actually think 442 may serve as a better defensive formation against them than a 4321 - and we're obviously in with a better chance at goals...

Hutcho deserves to be at DM.

His performances this far warrant it and he can keep the pics under wraps for now

i reckon move him forward, his best form for the mariners has been without the defensive duties he currently has. he will always track back but should be allowed to go further up field to do what he does

disagree, best in a defensive mid partnership with pedj or on the left, tucked in

he was playing attacking attacking mid last weekend

Sorry, i meant on the left but forward of DM.

Ruin it for both sides, more like.

Well, we've been talking about Hutch getting suspended for yellows, looks like that will happen next week now. I hope Matty doesn't go with him, he's got a few too hasn't he?

Wasn't Breeze in charge for that game against Bling when Heff got his leg broken by Talay, with Talay only getting a yellow? I hope Danny doesn't come anywhere near the ball outside the box tomorrow!

Can't really argue with that side based on current form. We will lack a bit of width but will be solid.Glad there will be two up front.

VAN IS IN - 442

A SHOULDER injury to Scott Higgins has presented goalkeeper Jess Vanstrattan with his first A-League start for Gold Coast United at Bluetongue Stadium on Saturday night.
Vanstrattan has not figured in any of United's first six matches due to an ankle injury, but Higgins' late withdrawal has prompted a bold move by head coach Miron Bleiberg to include the 27-year-old who has trained superbly this week.

The former Juventus custodian travelled with the squad along with Higgins and injury replacement 'keeper, Robbie Bajic, due to late doubts surrounding Higgins' fitness for the clash with Central Coast Mariners.

Bajic will still take his place on the bench as the injury replacement player for Higgins after United officials completed the appropriate paperwork this morning.

Bleiberg said: "We didn't intend for Jess to play on Saturday, but circumstances have dictated this situation and from what I have seen in training this week, and from what I have heard from our goalkeeper coach, he is ready.

"He might be a little short of match practice, but there is no doubting his quality and we are all confident that he will show that quality in his first Hyundai A-League match for the club."

Me like - that a diamond midfield??

Yes, was a diamond.
Think it looks good too.
I get the feeling Dmac and Matty really like being on the park together...
Lets hope tomorrow nights their night.
