Hutch has to start.  I don't care if he doesn't touch the ball all game - kick the living shit out of stick to Culina like glue until he goes off or retaliates

That's saying he's said to make his debut against Melbourne next week.
He will be on the teamsheet against us but not playing.
It doesn't matter anyway, i'll be amazed if we have a shot... on target.

CANNOT WAIT FOR THIS GAME!!!
Going to be a great atmosphere.
So many elements in place...

Watching the new look yoof.
Get a look at the new golden boys.
The leagues perpetual under dogs have a  chance to engineer another real upset and put Craig Foster and every one elses nose several hemispheres out of joint.
Some new signings for us looking to come together at the right time.
Miron will be there to chant shit at.
Culina will be there to chant shit at.
Hell, serious even wants Hutch to start instead of being there to chant shit at!!!

I'm telling you this game got everything baby! :eek:verhead:

I've got it sussed out, after 3 cold and flu tablets washed down with a can of coke, it came to me, neither us or Cavill F.C did much good without our K1w1's running around the pitch...SO..... Slap the guts outta Shame Smellz in the first 2 minutes and that'll leave Wee mac to run rampant

good theory huh???

OH and by the way...my uncle in Holland tells me that the opposing fans sang to Culina "piss off back down-under"....I dare say we could sing piss off of back to holland

.......Central Coast Mariners are awaiting a visa for new signing Matt Crowell so the Welsh midfielder can make his A-League debut against Gold Coast United on Saturday.
The 25-year-old former Southampton junior signed with the club earlier this month and Mariners coach Lawrie McKinna is hopeful the 25-year-old's clearance will arrive before Saturday's match at Bluetongue Stadium.

"He'll come into the squad if he's available,'' McKinna said.

"With Chris Doig (calf) and Michael McGlinchey (international duty) back into the squad we'll definitely have two players coming back in, maybe three.''

It is hoped Crowell can help plug the hole in the Mariners' midfield left by Mile Jedinak, who departed last season to Turkish club Genclerbirligi.....................

HHHHHHMMMMMMMMMMmmmmmmmm

Mt first 11 would be...

          Danny
Boogs Doig Wilko Heff
      Pedj Crowell
    Travis          Porter
        WeeMac
          Simon

But play Travis and Porter in closer the second channel and thus make it easier for Pedj & Crowell to get the ball to...

Hutcho deserves to be at DM.

His performances this far warrant it and he can keep the pics under wraps for now

i reckon move him forward, his best form for the mariners has been without the defensive duties he currently has. he will always track back but should be allowed to go further up field to do what he does

I reckon if Crowell makes the squad it will look like this

          Danny
Boogs Doig Wilko Heff
      Pedj Crowell
  Travis          Hutcho
        WeeMac
          Simon

Bench: Porter, Kwas, Mrdja and Gun Youth Keeper

disagree, best in a defensive mid partnership with pedj or on the left, tucked in

he was playing attacking attacking mid last weekend

Probably completely wrong, but I think our issue is goals atm and we need two strikers starting to change that.  Travis was quiet in the 2nd half last week, but had a great 1st half. So why not play him when the defence is tired?

True we need to start scoring goals at a consistent rate. Esp strikers need to fine form and at least have a dig on goal even if it doesn't go in. Look at Gold Coast and Perth

Oh boy...
So someone's being sent off...
Someone's not being awarded a blatant free kick at a crucial time...
And general disgruntlement form numerous crap ass calls.

Unfortunately for us, despite the worthy tin hat notions when it comes to Breeze that would say we would be crucified just for being us... Its a real definite, as Breeze always favours the away side. Personally I think its something to do with his authoritarian nature subconsciously trying to assert itself against the home crowds perceived  errant child come law breaker... kind of behaviour.

We can only hope that after the f**k ups he's made lately and the pressure to lighten up on the yellows, he may not be at his worst...

With Crowells visa still up in the air with less than 48 hours to go, surely Lawrie can't be planning him to start now...

My best guess would be...

          Danny
Boogs Doig Wilko Heff
      Pedj  Hutcho
Travis  WeeMac  Kwas
          Simon

Or similar to last weeks 442...
          Danny
Boogs Doig Wilko Heff
            Pedj
Porter  WeeMac  Hutcho
      Simon  Mrdja

Be very interested to see what Lawrie picks this week...

He may well stay with the 442 but I suspect with GCU he'll want two screeners and revert to the 4321... However, I think both Perth and the Jest showed that the way to beat GCU is that - Tight defense is a must - but that you also have to threaten and be able to pin their ears back...  So perhaps something like...

Boog Doig Wilko  Heff

            Pedj

Porter    Travis    Hutch

          Weemac

            Matty

More attacking than the 4231, allows the extra man to hopefully help flood the midfield and provided our shape and work ethic is good, help close down Culina... while also allowing a more significant second wave of attack when we go forward. As with the two screners and no truly pacey wingers, the hold up man game is not working because we are not their in numbers to cause problems and give our strikers a chance to lay off and run at defenders, without being just the only one and therefore, potentially finding some space upfront for once.
