Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

I think CCM 2 - Gold Coast 1
goals scored by Heff as a farewell present and Mrdja

Heff is out so Andrew Clarke ???????????????????????????? :piralaugh:

If Andrew Clarke scores, I'll do a Lady Godiva around Blue Tongue ... reckon I'm pretty safe  :innocent:

C'mon - a win here and a Perth stumble and we are back in the mix and our fate will be entirely in our own hands with a crunch game against Perth

crap first half, cracker second half!

Mariners bashed their way to a draw

Kwasnik and Simon continued to suck, weemac came on and ripped it up, Clarky is shaky as boogs dominated untill second yellow. Hutch fired up and had a crackin last 20 minutes.

Can those with more knowledge than I tell me:  Was Beath able to look at a replay on the big screen and then make a decision.  Because that is exactly what happened in front of us tonight when he booked Clarky.

Is there any FIFA or other policy that covers this situation?

Interesting the LM called Hutch over after about 60 mins and then we fired the f**k up.

He was worst on ground by some margin until that point then he went alright

Kwassie was my MOM purely because of the shirt-front on that wingeing, crying, diving, short-arse Culina.
The cane-toad Scum have now moved into second behind the real Scum in my hated mob list. FC have been relegated to third.

Hope Culina hurts himself badly and misses the WC. What a disgusting piece of filth.

Easily worse than Sackwhack.

All you can ask of players is to give 100%. They did that, no complaints.

GCU are easily good enough to win this comp and when we remembered to play like CCM, we scared them shitless. Crowd got into it and we were right in the game.

Too late sadly but nice to see none the less

Yeah the heart was great to see.

But...

Bloody hell.  :headbutt: :headbutt: :headbutt:
Play like that for two halves and we'd have destroyed that prat pack of arrogant tossers. Again.

We looked much better for having Weemac on, and he played well, BUT 3 clear cut chances? Then throw porters 2 into the mix... and the numerous times we could have pulled the trigger or when we spooned it into Brisbane Waters....

It hurts us precious.... it HURTS USSSSS!!!!!!!!!

That team is top of the table.

We are better than this team. I HATE this team. (Ol mother country FFC style) And we're 4 points behind the Nix now... I know we've got buckleys, bit I'd soooooo love to play finals football against the odds this year... so much just hasn't gone our way - just can't help but think we might royally piss everyone off.

Fox sports story reads that Hutch's tackle was from behind? Will wait tillI watch the replay to be sure... but it happened right in front of my bay. Looked clean and from the side not the back. Fast and hard, so what. Foot was low and took the ball. HTFU GCU. Softest brats in the league. Smeltz against Adelaide was massively worse and Adelaide didn't have all 11 players trying to brawl afterwards. They should have seen red. Van Strattan running form goals... If it was us, someone would have been off.

Week in week out, while I hear the odd GET HIM OFF about Kwassie or others and sometimes a few words about Lawrie... But the one dominant theme I hear is that everyone feels we are getting absolutely shafted by the referees and its very hard to take. From the tipping, to the press articles to the commentary we are the team no one give a rats ares about... and it shows on field. We are the easiest team to rule against and whose appeals to ignore.

Only massively ironic exception was the Mrdja Pen, haven't seen it yet but looked a little sus from my view... which admittedly though wasn't good?

Anyhow, Hutch's tackle was worth it regardless for the spirit that ensued. But when we are fighting to get into the finals after a terrible losing streak, it shouldn't take GCU wanting to fight Hutch to get us to shift into our top gear.
:naughty:

Oh yeah, and heres one for the clueless people who call me an Lawrie apologist just because I don't always blame the coach if we lose...

Lawrie should have beaten Miron to the punch tonight, nearly always allows other coaches to shift the dynamic first. Creatively deadlocked like that, you have to beat them to the punch sometimes imo - as the team that does often soon scores. Lawrie nearly always sits off the subs when we are deadlocked and too many times now we have paid for it.

Finally, Mrdja another great game, his hold up work was excellent - unfortunately Matty while he worked hard and had a few good bustles and defended well - was almost non existent in posing a threat on goal again - and would not have help up a tenth of the balls that Mrdja did tonight and also won far less headers... Just mistiming his jumps so often it seems...

I'd stick any of our youth strikers for him atm top be honest.
Also based on today give Mallia a run on the left for kwas.
Was outsanding today imo. Wonderful pace, we may well have a Leckie, lets bloody find out.

Lewis and Panni were also top notch. Mostly.

OMG, Mcbreen just missed an absolute bloody howler.

*Sigh*

Boogs gone next week, no Heff so time to give Sherlock a run at RB and keep Porter in RM. Give Clarkie a rest and let the LB from yoof (massive long name) have a run.

Travis can stay in the kids till he stops sulking.

Bleiberg then turned his attention to the Mariners, saying he liked coach Lawrie McKinna but couldn't understand why sometimes the Mariners acted like "psychos''. LOL.
