Unbelievable. Couldn't be prouder of that performance. To dominate with ten men like that in a derby... just fantastic.

Zelic is such a wanker. Worst FOX commentary in a good while. CCM should be blowing up about his comments regarding Austin. Who was brilliant, and about a thousand time better than Carney who they gave two points to. Such tossers.

We did really well and would have won had we not be shafted by pathetic FFA stooges yet again.

ISO 7. Looks solid.
Roux. 7. Much better. Sensible and controlled performance.
Posco 6.5. Worked hard and tough but lost it for a 5 min period just before and when they scored.
McGing. 6. Silly challenge but NEVER a straight red.
Rose. 6.5. Getting better.
Monty 8.5. MOM. Gosh I wish caceras could play like Monty.
Cac. 6. Some good stuff, some lame effort/execution.
Austin 7. Some great stuff but passing needs to improve.
Fitz6.5. Worked hard and should have hit the target a couple of times. Go an train with Matt Sim and get him to show u how to stay in control and hit the target.
Heff 6. Not bad.
Paddy. 6. Should have scored.

Simply awesome Captain's knock tonight. Great team effort overall. Apart from the brain fart by McGing and the woeful refereeing (again), we showed the Scum up to be the pretenders they are.

Rash prediction time...........

TW and hutch are building something here. It wont be for this season, this is about rebuilding, but its happening.

After the game the players were buzzing. Those sorts of endings can be season defining.

You probably had to be there to see the work rate, the effort, the passion from all 10. Roy absolutlely worked his nuts off after we went down to 10 men. Monty was immense. He is the man in our team.

Any stories about squad disharmony are simply nonsense. No team digs in like we did if there are divisions. It doesnt happen.

We ran that game and should have won. Even with 10 men.

As for the contentious decisions?

Scum penalty shout in the 1st half - not even close
Our penalty - clearly inside the box and KGJ bottled it
Red card - yeah, fair enough, foot raised, took the man
Our goal - did Izzo foul in the build up? probably but so what :)

As for the fans. We were as good as we have ever been. Sang for 90 minutes in the rain and I'd like to think the boys knew it. Their reactions after the game indicated that they had.

Kudos to the club for the buses. Sunnyside hotel was packed with yellow and it felt like a proper away day again.

I understand why people dont go to that shithole. However, the boxes above us are all empty and there was very little stupidity from the scum. A few isolated dickheads but nothing like it used to be. Do yourself a favour and get to the next NSW away game, its actually fun again.

Seeing Heff (the original) being mobbed post game as he came over to do an interview showed that we remember. He seemed to be excited too (once a scum hater etc).

We learnt from going down to 10 men against Sydney, we kept our shape, we are fitter and didnt wilt.

The scum are a mini Sydney, narrow, slow, negative and terrible to watch. They didnt come out to play even though they were a man up.

If we had a finisher, we would have won by 3.

Monty the monster. Oh my word, he was immense.

And Roy; there was one point on transition that he worked bank in a deeper position than 5 teammates to shit down the attack. Whilst playing as a 9!

Not all stars; Austin looked a little lost at times, Caceres looked like he was saving his legs early, but the unit worked very well.

Pleased to see Sim get the equaliser too. He's got his knockers - literally everyone would love him to prove them wrong.

When a player you doubt proves their worth is the sweetest of humble pie. Let him serve us all up a big slice with a good run of form from here.

Usual stupidity for those walking to station. Fans split by the drainage easement with scummers posturing and throwing rocks from one side.

I'm so proud of the boys. We showed the CCM spirit we tried to bring in since Game 1, Season 1 - Never say die.
Last time we faced refereeing like this, the boys completely lost their cool and threw the game away. This time, we put our heads down and got on with it. They weren't distracted by the derby and the trash talk (in the past we've lost many derbies by being too worried about the fact that it's a derby and forgetting to actually play football), they didn't get disheartened, they just kept playing. And playing and playing. And that's absolutely amazing. I don't know what Walmsley and Hutcho had to say after that other game, but it seems to have paid off. Couldn't be happier with what they did.
And Rose, running back to that back post, changed the match.
Izzo, GREAT to see him running up for that corner, absolutely love it.
Sim, heck, if he finds some form I'll line up to eat humble pie!

I saw 4 or 5 Mariners fans walk over to some bogans a couple of bays over in the 2nd half. I didn't see any punches thrown but it looked like it could have been on.
What was that about?
Saw it on TV.

Were both coaches sold out? Two friends of mine wanted to go but apparently couldn't get tickets.
Also coastal liner need to list mobile number as landline is unmanned on the weekend.

I heard there were a few fights at the stadium too....?
Not true.

About 5 or 6 wannabe Green St hooligans came round at half time, thought better of it. Average age about 17. Absolute f**ktards.

We'll actually it IS TRUE!

It Kicked-Off exiting the stadium, 30-40 Scummers lying in wait.

Little 'Green Jacket' Scummer was the main instigator, dog-punched me to side of the head, running up to me from the side out of my view. He had 3-4 yellow shirts grab him instantly as one coastie bloke- shaved head with a beard ('Radar'???) gave him an absolute hiding with elbows & punces to the head.

Pete Prior had someone on him behind all of this. Cops came in on Pete, pushing and shoving to break it up. A girl went to ground, don't know if she was hit or just shoved to the ground.

'Green Jacket' Scummer just kept reappearing through the carpark, yelling at the 30-40 Scummer's to "come-on let's get'em !".

The cops werent interested in them, just pushing and shoving anyone in yellow, as if 'we're the away supporters' so this must be all our instigation.

Whereas it was the exact opposite, the Scum - again and again trying to start a full blown brawl as everyone was just trying to move on as asked by the zealous cops. I had a 13yo coastie kid get double palmed to the chest standing next to me, just fly 3 mtr backwards landing on his arse.

Pete Prior was still raging so 6-7 Police bundled him off, taking him away from the group. After having a chat to him they then let him go.

The NSW Police & E-Group Security ARE an absolute JOKE.

Inspirational stuff! Monty is a beast and how 2 scummers got the other mom points is beyond me, any number of CCM players were more worthy than them.
Jets were very ordinary, we were all over them 16 shots to 9, 7 corners to 5, 37 interceptions to 10, they conceded 24 fouls to our 13.
I have no problem with the red card for McGing tackle, the problem I have is that the refs do not consistently apply a red for this sort of tackle, they need to grow a set and start giving them out to SFC and MV as well. The only positive from that tackle was that Leonardo was carried off on a stretcher.
Remember Sainsbury got a straight red against MV a few years ago (does anybody have that picture of him with his eyes popping out at the decision?), hope Jake bounces back just as strongly.
I was calling for TW to take off Austin and replace him with young Rose to shore up the def midfield and get a point. Foolish me I should have known this is not consistent with the entertaining football approach - bring on Sim instead in a like for like, concede a goal and then score an injury time equalizer. Large slice of humble pie for me too.
Will be interesting defensive selections next week v MV - Ascroft & McGing out, Bosnar released.

I saw about half a dozen scum heading toward the tail of the main yellow group heading to the southern end as we were heading to the northern carpark. I immediately worded up the coppers and security wh were heading in that direction and told them that some idiot was bound to go in swinging randomly. They basically went "yeah, whatever".

It's f**king stupid because we'd already had the little f**kers trying to start shit twice in the second half, and our lot were *not* instigators. We've got hotheads, but it was kept pretty cool generally.

Not surprised to hear what Rowdy's said. Need to adjust their procedures there. Away buses should be in northern carpark, there should be police etc. around away supporters heading to the station.

This is why people ought to either drive or get the bus, and it's why *lots* of Mariners supporters simply don't go there anymore.

Scum, pure and simple.
