ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Having been in Sydney on Saturday I have only just watched the replay. Monty easily MOM

Definite penalty missed - though he seemed perfectly positioned.

The red I can understand but I think was a bit harsh. McGing stepped on his foot after arriving slightly late and slipped on the scummers boot. He did not raise his studs at all. Again the ref seemed to be in a good position.

. that was my initial response to the red as well ... "red! what for stepping on his foot"

. i think what really hurt McGing was Posco's involvement ... which made it look a whole lot worse

My 11-year-old, watching the game on TV, with half an eye and with the limited football experience that comes only from a couple of seasons of small-sided ball and with a limited understanding of physics ;) , was adamant at the time, that Posco was the bigger offender of the two, at the time... If one HAD to go off though, I have to say that I'd rather it'd be McGing, so there's that...

Nahhh...

I've been loving McGing's work. He's got a bit of Sainsbury about him I reckon, major potential. Not dissing Posco at all, but I wouldn't be able to jump to that particular judgment.

Heh, fair enough, should probably point out that that's sort of what I was getting at, the other way around... I'm pretty impressed with McGing - but I feel like Posco has brought a level of management and control into the defence that, to be honest, I didn't think he was experienced enough to bring.
It feels like our defence has started losing direction whenever he hasn't been in there, this season.
It was by no means a diss of Mcging, just a straight judgment call, good or bad ;)

I think the thing that is great at the moment is that Tony said he was going to work on the defence and he has.

We've conceded two in two (not terrible in itself, and a lot better than the ten in four that preceded it!); once from a counter after an error (they happen) and once from a set-piece where we were short one tall CB who would've been marking the goalscorer.

I'm pretty sure I saw most of them but not the c**t in the green jacket:popo: after the game at the train station but thankfully they weren't on my train:)

I'm tipping the little runt lives at Windale and I'm not sure that there
is a station at that rats nest.
