Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

R25 Adelaide Away

After destroying Sydney's finals hopes last weekend, what odds we can throw a couple of spanners in the premiers plate race by getting results from the Reds and WSW?

Luis Garcia & Mitch Austin slated to return. Who misses out?

I would really like Adelaide to take it out this year, if they can but I'd also really like to end the season on somewhat of a high... I long-since decided that I'd look at our form and let that be the guide for whether I try for my first away outing at Parra next week, so I'm in two minds...
I suspect that we'll lose, I've tipped it as a tie - just because I can't bring myself to tip against us - and I'm hoping for a win ;)

It worries me that Uskok is still out, I just think we look better in defence with him in, but it's good to get Austin and Garcia back - I'm hoping both are fighting fit and that they won't run circles around us the way they did last time...
I suppose that's where I'm at now... It'd just be nice to not be completely outplayed really...

Uskok was a good find looks relaxed on the ball ,could only get better in the aleague, with the tempo of the game quicker than he would be used to.

I don't think we will beat them, especially at home. This doesn't really bother me, because no-one else has beaten them for quite a while.

Lol. Of course he is.
Didn't swap him after his poorest games - why now when he's been in much better form?

Was just watching some of our defending the last time we played them. My goodness.

Those who don't think we've improved at all should go watch some of our earlier games.

Not implying we're all that obviously - but the difference is clear - with the improvements in ball watching and hesitation alone considerable.

Doesn't change anything in terms of what we still need at the back - but it is a small ray of hope in a dark season.

Now they can drop him. (Izzo that is)
Oh man, if you csnt rely on louis Garcia to put those away... We should have scored 3 so far.

Oh dear. 3-1. Defense has improved in general play - but we still cant defend a half without making at least two grievous defensive errors. EDIT: and multiple keeping errors it would seem.

You see Louis screaming at Izzo that he has to come?

Adelaide are a very good side. But we still beat ourselves with awful mistakes both in front of goal and defending. Thats still mostly a case of youth. Though rose and Garcia need to put their hands up too. You can't blame a coach for those kind of errors.

Im a patient guy, especially with youth and Izzo is young. He may even end up very good. But his learning curve is absolutely killing us this year and he simply cannot remain our number one keeper.

Hopefully his shocker is a mercy - because if he kept with his more recent form - they'd probably kerp him number one. Surely after that they must have seen enough.
