Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

R24 - Bling FC vs CCM

I'm an idiot savant without the pesky savant bit
I wish I could say that it was our worst performance this season, but I actually don't think so... They just looked like they couldn't care less for most of the game

hmmm...I hate to say it...But I think I agree

He wasnt a kid, was outed on Twitter. Same group who only appear at away games in Sydney and sing racist (and wrong) songs.....

They actively support a Scottish side and used to be Sydney fans until booted out of the Cove.

Just embarrassing tools who made fools of themselves in the KB pre game.

The same ones singing the Shinji Ono songs at WSW in round 1

#Allegedy

Thanks FFC but the angle that the coin came from meant that it came from in front of us, and i saw one of these kids throw another one.

Bad enough to play like that and lose, worse to cop coins from your own fans...

Dutchy seems to be off the boil at the moment - just ran beside for the second goal yesterday. Maybe Zac might get a start. We'll hace to see after the ACL game.

I think that was Zac that got pulled apart on the second goal not Dutchy.

You're right - but Patrick should have moved across rather than just run alongside Chianese on his left. If he had done that they may still have scored, but he would have put pressure on Chianese and also cut down his options. With the options cut down - i.e. more likely to shoot away from a closing defender, it would have given a greater chance to Maty.

Ha. Celery I like it.

Wombat, I like your lineup. Won't happen though ;)

I can't agree on Dutchy. This time and last time were both goals made in quick transition when Dutchy was recovering. It was Sterj's man who got loose yesterday, as it was Rosey's last time. And both times after sloppy unforced errors by other players. Just as attack takes build up play, when defense breaks down, it is usually cumulative, and I think holding Dutchy responsible for any of these goals is not accurate.

On the mental fatigue. It looked like they were unconsciously playing at only around 80-90%, likely mentally bracing/conserving themselves for the week ahead. Arnie's right senior players should know better. You have to give each game your all and treat it like it's your last. The time you find out that you are too tired to win is when it happens. Hold back and preserve yourself, and you lose anyway. I also agree on his youth policy.

My mood has just been downgraded from "Really p*ssed off" to "Pretty damn annoyed" after watching that.

Some positives and negatives for me...

Negatives: How can we be the benchmark team for the majority of the season and then put in a performance like that? Seems like a bit of a schizo season from us. How many times have we said "If we play like that every week we will demolish everyone..." and equally as many times "That was our worst performance for a long time...".

Positives: The premiership is pretty much gone. Not that I don't want to get the premiership, but it's the "reward" of playing in the ACL that comes along with it. Are there any advantages of playing in the ACL? We get crap crowds to home games, we get crap crowds to away games. It was meant to put the club and league in front of Asia but has that actually brought any tangible benefits? Seems to me the ACL is a massive money pit where the club has to blow a whole heap of cash flying the team all over the place, and juggle the squad playing mid-week games and finals.

Congrats to NRMAIWSWFFAFC for being so successful in their first season, will be interesting to see where they hold the grand final of they qualify to hold it at home.

Not many yet, but I still love it! :shoutclap:

SFS. They (FFA$) will do them over just as that did to us.

His lack of pace is very noticable though

One thing Arnie does not do on a regular basis is to rotate his players and the stress on the runners like rose, pedj . glinch and macbreen is now showing as well as not having instant replacements if needed but they are there in the yoof if they were given game time during the season.
