ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

i don't really care how they play .as long as we play well.
but in a few days you can't get much done. except give the "once more unto the breach " speach.

except playing liam miller at a real number 10 postion .instead of out of the back.
i always thought that was a waste by fergie.

A bit off topic, but which generation would "the facebook generation" be? (these are age groups but same thing...)

Never like playing a team with a new coach who are bottom of the table... and PG have a very solid squad...

Couldn't disagree more. Sure Facebook and twitter ( mind you twitters format makes you shorten your works and sentences) highlight the problem but from my own experience and also of other people's experiences. The education system Is the reason why people can't read or write. I was partly deaf from birth which hindered my learning capabilities. Now they helped me as much as they could but as soon as I started to fall behind that was it I was 15 I think, when I started getting private tutoring and before I started i was reading at a 8 year old level. After I was 17 when i finished and was reading at a 19 year old level. The whole eduction system is flawed in so many ways and I've studied it due to my degree in education. There's defiantly no easy fix but something has to change.

. that would be the generation that is quite happy to continually use 'like' in the wrong context

...... or maybe just the generation that uses the word for a filler between every other

. the point i was trying to make was that i agreed with what mr c said ... but i didn't like the scenario he was discussing. for some it may make sense to 'like' that post but not me

Fair enough then, I'm always curious about why people use/don't use certain functionality... I don't think there is a "right" way to use a like button, but you made it sound like there is a "wrong" way.

Each to their own IMO. Facebook uses it basically as a share button, and for advertising. When you click on like, your friends can see what stuff you like, the theory is your friends might be introduced to things they might not have found otherwise (unless people "talk" to each other...) and then advertisers use that info to target ads. It's not like this on ccmfans though; development is ongoing (part time for the last couple of years... :() where the functionality of that button should be in use more than just to show x people liked a post.

Anyway, semi-back-on-topic... is anyone else disappointed Perth couldn't wait another week until AFTER we thump them to sack their coach, meaning we could chalk that up as another Mariners coach killing effort? :D

I'm an idiot savant without the pesky savant bit
Perth clearly believe in the validity of the old
Firing up after sacking the coach myth...and what a
better week to fire up, when playing the top of the comp team

makes no difference. perth haven't been lying down.
in fact, if they try even harder this week it could really go pear shaped.
the coach sacking will get the boys mind on this .instead of next weeks mv,korea wsw.
it's all good for me

Definitely! The Coach's scalps list will make good reading one day.

"Ahh remember when we dominated Adelaide and Kossie got sent packacking? That was a good day out""
