I don't look on the facebook page. Was it the chanting when Reddy got sent off?

Some of the language I've heard at games I would say is disgusting. I did write to the club a few seasons ago.
Pointing out that the security would step in Bay 16. But bad language in other parts of the ground went unpunished.
One particular time sat near the half way line I got up and moved. I know at least one person complained to security
about two blokes but nothing was done.

*just an edit to say if it was the Reddy chant I wouldn't count that as disgusting.

I'll happily admit that where I sit on the halfway line, it can be hard to hear the actual words of the chants so I tend to just register when it's one that I recognise well enough to go along - if the mood in the bay feels like it might come with... But I didn't have the impression that the language from bay 16 was of a particularly nasty nature, bearing in mind that it's the active bay and so, tends to have a slightly rougher edge so-to-speak.
Certainly I think I've heard worse in the bay that I sit in - but I sort of figured that it comes with sitting behind the bench... English being my second language, I'm not as sensitive to crude language though, so i struggle a bit at times, to understand the sort of horror that sometimes registers when it is used, but once that is said, I would much rather see security engaging in management of it, in the prawn-crackers-bays than in bay 16... I would expect there to be MORE room to "move" in the active bay than elsewhere, but maybe that's just me.

I do find it a bit ironic that the only people seemingly believing that Reddy is a saint, are the ones that are perceived to either have an axe to grind, or list themselves amongst his friends... That is to say, the ones that you'd expect...

While one should obviously be careful with how much one reads into things, more-or-less every comment that I have seen on the game, from A-league followers, ours or theirs, has expressed some level of confidence that Reddy deserved everything he got.
It might be right, it might be crazy (to paraphrase Billy Joel ) but it's sort of hard to ignore that the general perception of the guy tilts pretty strongly in the opposite direction to that of his defenders.

I am so sick of going onto these articles and seeing the comments. Everyone seems to discredit and talk shit about the club that, as pointed out elsewhere here has one of the best attendance/membership rates as a percentage of population for the whole league. Everyone writes us off and acts as if we have never won the trophy, or the been premiers, or runners up in both multiple times. It is beyond a joke and the lack of friends in the media is not helping.

Also, f**k fox sports honestly. Just as well foxtel is becoming less relevant every day.

When I was a young chap at Parra stadium the whole stadium was chanting Wally's a wanker.

So we still have some work to do to get the whole crowd involved.

That said it was Parramatta and my Dad would have been charged with neglect if I didn't join in

Monty copped a lot of flak on social media over his comments how we've matched a lot of teams on the field. To be expected - but we have had games where we've matched the top teams. And reaching the finals is completely plausible IF we can find consistency. Even just a tiny bit.

Linesman did his job but Ref correctly ruled on what he could see. Have lost 3 or 4 goals to offside against us this year

Was that the same one whinging about the bad not being there, then whinging about the active support being quiet?
We've had the debate on here before about whether we should be swearing on chants - probably no point going into that again. It's valid feedback, even if you disagree, and some of the abuse she copped in response was idiotic.

Don't bother - the more of this s*** they excrete, the more enjoyable it'll be when we get back on top.
In the meantime remember that people stating crap like that either forget, or weren't following the league 2 years ago... So what do they know about who provides what quality?

Yada Yada with the Reddy stuff. It's just distraction. With a win next weekend we are a real chance not to spoon. Opponents like Reddy and J Rose acting immaturely is just grist to our mill.

It`s a badge of honour to us, the little club who could, forever the underdog, punching above our weight.
Whatever they throw at us, we just brush it off, kick it in a heap then stand taller on it.

Stopped participating in 442 forums for this reason. Lot of clueless shit throwers and trolls and unfortunately most of the people who do have genuine knowledge have proved themselves to be absolute tossers imo. Waste of life. Better discussions on here - and the criticism is 'usually' a lot more thoughtful and valid. Like BA said, I only go there for the articles now.

But your bang on. There is a very strong anti mariners narrative that has been egged on by the media and was easy to inspire... most reasons I hear are simply not true. Fox pundits its personal and they also want their glitz and glamour - not regional ol us. But I think when it comes to other teams fans, beyond standard tribalism, and media beat up, the real reason is that we have been an upstart punching above our weight from day one. But there are still some out there who appreciate our club too.

Doesn't matter though. We're dug in like a tick now and we'll come good and drive them all mental again.
