Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

R13 - NYE vs Welly - it's time to get a win!

.
. what was not good to see was the half-arsed visit by the players to the fans (not venturing over to the long-suffering fans on the East ... was quite sad under the circumstances)
My wife saw and mentioned to me that Josh Rose tried to go down the tunnel and CEO turned him away and said get back out there. We are a bay or two from the tunnel so not 100% how accurate but certainly plays to the fact the players wanted out of there ASAP

They also didn't go past the tunnel towards palm trees on the west.

Let's hope it was fireworks related because hey they don't win often enough to not give a hoot

I'm mostly a "glass half full" kind of guy, but I think this is a fairly safe assumption.
There's usually one or two players waving at someone they know in the stands, but i noticed that it was most of them yesterday. So I'm thinking a lot of them had family and friends hang around for celebrations and therefore they understandably keen to move on.
They're normally pretty good at staying for a greet even after a loss I reckon.

. hey i gettit ... it was NYE they wanted to spend some time with their family and friends - they just didn't handle it very well (especially considering that there were probably a lot of people there that probably hadn't been for a while) ... and there were a lot of people there that have been putting up with enough to not even come over and offer some thanks for their support (which i think was pretty good the other night)

. if they hadn't 'wasted' time lingering in the middle ... then went over to the north-west corner and down the west side before being turned around to go back to 'the bay' ... then down the west side again to the tunnel

. we sit in the upper deck, so it is not as if i was going to get a sweaty hug or anything ... simply acknowledging people were still there would have been nice. head over towards the advertising boards ... return some applause, give us a thumbs up an move on - quick, simple, happy days

I'm an idiot savant without the pesky savant bit
Well...colour me more yellow than ever, that was a pretty good game by the boys, they were asked to make a stand and they did,...The Flash and The Arrow ( sounds like a DC comic team up) on the park at the same time certainly makes a difference....can honestly admit that I didn't miss Half- a - Game Caceres, personally haven't rated him much after his debut goal v the scummers....I didn't know Mickey Neill could do that, but hope he keeps doing it, The CC Harryner and Posco done good , even slow old Rose the Elder done alright....now, the headbutt, I missed it initially, but if that's a headbutt then I'm 6'4" with ripped abs, and besides, Muscatt probably asked for it, his got a yap and a temper on him, I mean anyone who can ignite Archie Thompsons temper is vastly talented....as for that fkn KRJ...what a pleb, the sooner he goes back to his day job forever, the HAL will be better for it....all I can say is COYY

Oh yeah and massive cudos to Tinker Belle for an outstanding mental toughness in stepping up, one more good game and izzo will think his in Adelaide again

I think he's close as it is... After lining up and defending that free kick on the weekend he's already ahead of Izzo ;)

Thinking about it I'm a bit disappointed with Roy's wording. Going on about Oscars and acting.
I'm sure being Irish he should have said "Went down like a sack of spuds".

I'm hoping Izzo will only make the subs bench on his return. I like the look of the "new" keeper.

Tinker Belle - Brilliant

Was mucking around saying hyphen Belle and other names close during the game. With each save the misses said time you learn his name he deserves it.

Didn't have much to do first half and didn't have a great view of him in the 2nd as he was down the other end. Just saw rebounds keep coming back and cheering.

Certainly made Izzo look stupid but how much of the team of DM helped.

The one free kick at the top of box went Straight at him to but at least he was watching.

Very happy for him great job.

Still need experienced Keeper

Thought storm had a very good game.

Finally saw him compete for a ball at half way and when he got turned he used his hands to pull the attacker back. Gave up a smart foul and allowed every one to get back and set up.

Finally some smarts

Big Al, I'm sure a few of us thought we needed an experienced goalkeeper when Matt Ryan was thrust into the first team.
Turned out alright though.

yeah I though Roux played far better this week too.
Yeah I see the argument but he turned out to be very special, very hard to replicate. However Australia does have a great history of keepers

I think we, football fans in general, are lead to believe a keeper needs years to learn the trade. And then play longer than outfield players.
Obviously that isn't always the case. Hopefully Tinkerbelle will turn out to be a Good'un.

To be fair if my choice is him or Izzo I'd prefer him

Mariners fans could do with a little of all 3 this season.
