ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

CCM are the team I support, but I'm at the point where I can't be bothered giving a shit about the results anymore. I feel as if we're being paid lip service by those in the positions of power at CCM now- there's only so long the excuses can continue. It's all well and good to tell somebody like myself (who's supported the Mariners since Day 1) not to let the door hit my arse on the way out, but what about the casual fans in the wider community? The people who would be more inclined to come to the home games if they thought there'd at least be a contest to enjoy? No team can stay at (or near) the top all the time, but the lack of direction and bad publicity around this team drives the casual goers away- they might not take the time to vent their thoughts via an avenue like this, but the empty seats at home games speak just as loudly. That only feeds the death-riders and CCM (in it's current state) provide plenty of ammo. Not everything he says should count as gospel, but if Bozza's comments about the game and relegation at halftime aren't a wake-up call, I don't know what is?

I completely understand what you're saying, whats the point of supporting a team that refuses to support the brand by opening the wallet for a decent coach and signing some decent players. Some people on this forum just get all sentimental about the team, supporting them no matter what.

"I'm done with this team"

"I hope Sydney fist them 10-0"

Why don't you quit while you're behind?

Sorry.

Yay team! I hope we come back to draw 3-3 because then everything is rosy at CCM and we'll get 15k through the gates the rest of the season. Walmsley in!

Being a supporter is about supporting through thick and thin.
Suck it up.

I don't think anyone here is disagreeing with your frustration and what you're saying - for mine at least, the core point is that I disagree with your approach... I don't have a better solution, but I feel like your approach will only make matters worse.

That's what supporters do.
I'll bitch and moan but I'll never walk away.

Instead of attacking him personally, how about you address what he's saying, kid.

You go on the SFC forum and there, at least you see fans passionate about their team who can be critical of the organisation without being seen as a blasphemer and told (more or less) to jog on. It's actually what makes that place refreshing compared to a lot of other online fan discussions (MV and WSW fans spring to mind). On saying that, here? Suggest that stinky shit actually stinks, and admit you'd like to see an annihilation for the record books if that's the last resort for more than TW lip-service and "bad luck boys" sentiment after another piss-poor effort- people lose their minds. How can anybody be critical of CCM, ever? Should this score stay the same, I guarantee that people here will be going "Oh well- we lost but we sure showed them in the second half!"

If people think I'm being negative and overly critical, I suggest they canvas the comments I am seeing from CCM fans on social media. These are the people who might not post here, but make a BIG difference in match-day attendance, community support and getting the haters off our back. I have been amongst the first to defend this club for a long-time when haters would attack our crowds, our silverware (pre 21/4/13), our management or our existence- but there's only so much rot that can set in before it's time to call a spade a spade.

WTF? We are constantly bagging the management! The garbage they have come up with over the years, like moving games, has received widespread condemnation.
I support the guys on the field. And the indefinable thing that is "the club", being part of the Mariners community like this forum.
That is what I support, not a bunch of suits or a rich owner.
