Wow I am without words. At some point surely someone has to say you know what we got it wrong. What a discraceful decision.

f**k the VAR and the FFA. That's the only tune I can get out of this flute!

They are so inept that I want to cry......or slap someone.

Think I might be done with the a-league. This is an absolute joke. These guys seem like the kinds of dumbf**ks that play roulette and put one hundred bucks on red and one hundred bucks on black and think they are coming out on top.

I can see them all now, smiling and nodding knowingly

On Monday the head of the A-League, Greg O’Rourke, clarified that where the video referee doesn’t mention an incident to the match referee, even if he sees it, the MRP can take action afterwards.

But where the VAR mentions an incident to the match referee during the game, it will be deemed to have been dealt with on the pitch – meaning the MRP cannot act.

Sydney FC striker Bobo was at the centre of controversy on Friday night, when his kick at Melbourne City defender Manny Muscat was reviewed by VAR Strebre Delovski, who told match referee Shaun Evans that it was arguable whether it was worthy of a red card, a point of view Evans was happy to accept.

That means Bobo cannot be cited by the MRP, and is free to play in Sydney’s trip to wellington on Saturday.

Can't wait for the David Squires Guardian cartoon this week.

Okay so, putting aside how bad the VAR is and how misused. The fact is these muppets have decided that whilst an entirely new system is being rolled out, they would make any decision made by that system exempt from the mrp. That... that is f**king baffling. Absolutely no safety net.

For me Bobô was much worse than Brama. Fine, bramas was a red and one match. But what Bobô did was completely off the ball and far more malicious. If Brama gets one that circlejerker should be getting two.

Side note. I’m watching a game of nfl and wondering how long it will be before the a-league has delays like the yanks do, to the point where you get 30 mins of action in three hours. At least Foxtel could crowbar in more ad breaks.

Wow stupidity at it best.

McGing who barely glanced him with the outside of his foot is guilty of foul play and gets a week for fouling a out of the six big 4 team.
But
Bobo for the league angles gets nothing for a stomp.

And I thought star wars round was over, you just can never kill the darkside

I have never been so angry attending a football match in my life.

The VAR in its current form needs to go, the trial has failed, the inconsistency is what will drive fans away from the game.

Is anyone up for some sort of protest towards the VAR at our next home game on NYE? This has to stop!

There are only two other games in HAL history I can recall leaving, feeling so pissed off-

The 5-4 loss to SFC, and the '08 GF. And like those other two games, it was that same sense that we'd just witnessed a blatant f**king, with the FFA happy to make CCM the fall guys in their quest to give the other team glory for whatever reason (Jest because Newcastle having a winning HAL team perfectly coincided with the Knights being in turmoil, SFC just because it's SFC).

In my worst nightmare, Saturday night is how I'd feared the 2013 GF would end up...

Wow, words almost fail me but let me just make sure I’ve got this straight. McGing, glances Baccus with the sole of his boot and little or no impact and gets upgraded from a yellow to a red card, which is upheld by the MRP, whereas Llorente could have broken McGing’s ankle but gets a yellow and nowt else. Am I missing anything?

I always knew the administration of this league was a joke but this latest episode has taken it to farcical levels and there may be no way back from this. The integrity of the competition is so trashed by what has been going on that the A League has become a laughing stock outside the code and there seems to be no-one within the FFA with the balls or wherewithal to do anything about it.

I am very, very concerned about where Australian football is headed to on it’s current trajectory but hey the Socceroos have qualified for Russia, so everything is rosy right?

Okon will do his nut over this debacle and rightly so too. He should call the FFA out in his next presser and I would be happy to chip in for the fine. :soapbox:

Yep. I happy to smack anyone in black if you hold them for me.

I disagree - the team cannot let last weekend define the season.

The other way to look at this is the abysmal treatment they received on the weekend can be used by Okon as a motivational tool to focus the guys and steel their resolve. Okon and the players need to remember what happened. However, they can't let it be an excuse for future performances - but rather they need to rise above it as a group.

Well, you're clearly in the minority. I think the ratings against your post (which appear to be mostly from people who aren't regulars in bay 16) tell you all you need to know. Badly done? How so? We walked out in protest of the absolute farce that game had descended into - not against the club or the players. The club is aware of that and supported our actions.

I thought that was crystal clear and I and FWIW everyone around me was glad you did it. I've never walked out of a CCM game but for the first time I felt like it, and we stayed to support and boo the refs because a few randoms wouldn't send a message. But you guys doing it did. Ballantyne has this about as backward as you can get it. Total blather. I don't think there'd be a player on either side that wouldn't understand what you guys were doing and support why you did it.

Total utter bullshit.

Even worse than when Perez was GIven 6 weeks.

Disgraceful.

This wreaks of the time Perez got screwed over, that was the last time I felt this kind of rage and bewilderment.

How about a protest of wearing black on NYE with Blind Man Black Glasses on, implying the ref's are all blind.

This ensures we still support our team, but get a message across that hopefully is noted by the commentators and atleast spotted by the cameras.

Wear a black shirt and a pair of cheap black wayfarers.
