What was the go with Heff tonight?? Absolute shocker

Yep - Heff was absolutely torched tonight and it badly affected us across the park...

Vukovic: That second goal was poor and I am usually Dannys biggest supporter - his mistake was only poor compared to McMaster's 5 mins later...

Bojic: Solid
Wilko: Solid
Heff: He was absolutely torched tonight - poor game for Heff... You can say his man Minecon setup and scored 2 or 3 so he is probably to blame for more than just 1
Porter: ok
Hutch: who...... was missing for long parts
Osman: lacks penetration (no jokes)
Caceras: Frustrating game from him - missed that sitter in the first half and looked all at sea until Gumps came on, perhaps it was Gumps movement of the ball that freed him up, perhaps we need to look at more of this
Mrdja; Was a better game by him and his finish was class...
Macca: I am a big fan of Dylan - he gets through so much work...
Simon: Adidas need to pay him more

Fact is our left side cost us tonight and we are very much in danger of missing out on a semi spot (in fact to be honest I think our season is over)

I think we can all agree they used their pace to devestating effect, and made our defence their bitch. Except that Van Dyke goal where he headed over Danny.  I don't know what to make of that.

Also too often when the Mariners tried bringing the ball forward out of defence they hustled and shut down our passing options in attack. So it was Route 1 - and that always ends well :(

Also the feeling in Bay 6 was "Is Tiatto a protected species?" Why was he not sent or even booked for that studs up lunge in the centre of the field? Yet when we give him a few love taps it's all "Oh no you need to be booked" by Mr Breeze.

Also Breeze effect. We never do well under Breeze.  Never.  He is a curse who will haunt us until the day he dies.

Yeah I think fourth is the best we can hope for. I'll be watching the shebangabang games very carefully now. As much as it pains me to say it, damn i hope the smurfs win tomorrow.

Look at who we finish against Melb and Adelaide

Wellington have SFC, Perth and Melb

Its gonna be tight but I think the advantage is with them and not us...

Jesus that was back to the shite we were serving up earlier in the season.

Loose sloppy Football with no direction. Hutch tried hard and was one of our better players but he's no Jedi and a replacement needs to be found NOW!!!!

I thought we played pretty well for the first 30 minutes (in attack) but it was a horror show after that.

Danny....second goal was terrible mistake. 5/10.
Porter....simply not defender...no concept of marking what so ever. Can't tackle cleanly. 5/10.
Heff.....one of his worst ever. 4/10.
Bojic...poor 6/10
Wilko...sloppy, lazy, backs offs players and buys the dummy so easily 4/10

Hutcho...ok 6.5/10
Caceras...couldn't score in a brothel with a $100 in his pocket!!!! 6/10
Osman...mixed game...did some good thinks but looked very limited at other times 6/10

Disco.....great goal but still rusty 6/10
Macca....solid game  7/10
Simon.....MOM by a country mile 8/10

Subs.. Clarke....should have started in front of Porter...at least he can tackle and has heard of "goal side"
Gumps....should have been on much earlier...like 45mins...and nearly set up Simon with classy ball.
Sasho...also should have been on after 45mins.

We do, however have a good record against Adelaide. I'm hoping we'll win that one but I think we've got buckley's chance against Melbourne in Melbourne. Unless Thompson doesnt play.

I thought Bojic played well tonight and I'm surprised some others think the opposite.

Heff, Bojic and Wilko were a disgrace to CCM tonight and Caceres wasnt much better.

According to fox sports Bojic scored Roars last goal (own goal)

Deeply disappointing I thought, seems like hard to get going in the 2nd half even when it was level.

Why wasn't Petrovski brought on earlier? It's a familiar trend in this league isn't it? :-X

Simply not good enough tonight. We've been far too inconsistent all season and were shown up big time tonight.

Sonic was a disgrace and got skinned more times they I care to remember. He can't defend against players running at him and never has been able to. He has great engines but had nothing tonight. In my opinion he was the reason we lost.

Wilko was terrible and looked very unassured which is unusual for him.

Matty is the key for our run home and I think he has proved this season is he our most important player. He was immense tonight and if he is not in our squad for the game against Indonesia than I will put a large phallic object in my mouth and inhale.

I haven't been this disappointed since our games against the sheep shaggers. I believe were good enought to win the GF but top two is now out of the question.

It's amazing how quickly the negativity pours out on these threads after every game we lose.

I think we will actually score a hard-fought draw with Melbourne next weekend, and beat Adelaide the week after to see us into the finals. After a shit team effort, the boys usually bounce back for a week or two after. The question is, can we keep that consistence into the finals?

I'm the first to blame Breeze for things gone wrong, but I can't really blame him for the loss. If the boys had played the entire game with as much vigour and speed as they did the remainder of the match after our third goal, it would have been a Mariners win. I hope Lawrie points that out to the boys this next week, as well as considering subbing a few players a little earlier than what we saw.

osman had his best game ever and we missed him when he went off.....    bojic is always does a good job  ans simon....LEGEND!      am disappointed but proud to tonight, the boys went out there to win and all gave their heat and soul ...they wanted a win and worked hard for it  but unfortubatley QLD used thier chances better.....ffs wilko and clarky had a shot! we carved them up just didn't finish it.:(

Simply beaten by the better team + referee on the night. The Roar were just devastating - great all across the park. We were good at the pointy end, but no so hot further back tonight. Breeze was back to his puzzling worst - two footer tackles - "be my guest". Slight brush past - "have a yellow son". What a tosser.
