I'm surprised at how many people are stating that Pedj and Wilko played poorly, fact is you have to back off attackers when you are already one back down (Heff was non existent)

In terms of Porter - I can't remember him getting burnt and am surprised at some of the negativity towards him.

We can no longer play 4-3-3 without the Jedi..... we just don't have a dominant midfielder anymore and we have to play 4-4-2.

osman had his best game ever and we missed him when he went off.....    bojic is always does a good job  ans simon....LEGEND!      am disappointed but proud to tonight, the boys went out there to win and all gave their heat and soul ...they wanted a win and worked hard for it  but unfortubatley QLD used thier chances better.....ffs wilko and clarky had a shot! we carved them up just didn't finish it.

I think our CB's were good tonight.
The reason they appeared to be shite was because our wingbacks were really really poor and Bojic and Wilko were forced into wide areas to cover.

The CB's were appalling! But both Heff and Porter were disgraceful....I haven't seen such poor positional awareness.......since us earlier in the season.....or since I coached under 7's... and their blundering may have given the impression that Wilko and Bojic were not to blame. They were..totally. In fact Wilko was pathetic.

According to Fox Sports news after the game Heff has had the flu all week could explain the terrible game he played

Is it just me??? or did I have a few too many bevvies watching the youth game and not see properly.... BUT, from where I was sitting I can't remember Breeze actually calling a goal.... when one was scored, he just sorta stood there, watched the celabration, then moazzied on back to centre circle.... 

I thought the ref was meant to blow the whistle and call a goal??? or have the rules changed that I'm not aware of???

The only real option is to revert to a classic 442 so we can play with some sort of shape.

Heff was out of position so many times, one time Porter was back in LB defending, and did very well.

I think Hutch and Osman as a DM pairing worked pretty well. We lost our way bigtime when Osman got subbed off. That put Porter further forward, and I know he is an AM, but when you've been playing at RB all season, then suddenly get thrown forward? He went missing after that.

The first goal is a classic example of what happens when a defender loses the ball to the opposition. Happened to us in the GF, happened again last night. At that stage we looked on top of things, but we dropped our heads significantly after that. I think Wilko lost confidence in Heff, so it started to affect his positioning as well. After that, they just kept on running down the left side, causing headaches all around. FFS DMAC was in LB defending for awhile!

Forwards were good, few times miscommunication crept in, but no more than what we usually do. Need to work on our finishing, but then we gifted them a few chances that they missed. But I think they need to get into better positions. Oftentimes Hutch would play the ball backwards simply because there are no options up front. This is how they won the second half, they kept the tempo up with people in space for quick passes, whilst also shutting us down so we had to hoof and hope.

If we played 442, Heff would have had some cover in front of him, he needs someone to drop back and cover when he charges forward.

its a double edged sword with heff even when he is on form,
he provides some good forward runs but then if we lose the ball which we seem to do alot lately he is out of position and against a team like queensland with their speed and mobility we cant cover it... personally id rather play a little more defensive and shut down their options

too slow to get out for the second goal, one kick over the sideline, but apart from that he was without fault

though that error could have hurt his socceroos chances as well

there were a few players that were on show to pim last night (heff, danny, wilko, adrian, simon, d-mac) and only really matty did his chances no harm

yeh true, true. the chip from the header was an ordanary slow strike she should of got a hand to that. and aswell as when the striker was 25 yards out and went for far post  he wasnt ayt full stetch
