Does Peter Prior have to go to the desert for 40 days?
I was on my way, but if you're saying i don't have to....
ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!
If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.
ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Heard the "organic" ideal a lot over the years on these boards. Bucking the trend on this one.
If the net result is zero after 8 seasons, there is nothing to suggest it might well not be the same situation after 16 and 24 years. "Nothing can come of nothing" as it goes.
And why are ideas generated off a clubs forum by some of it's most passionate fans inorganic?

Kwassie sit under a Bohdi tree?
Hutch have to wake up after a GF bender with the lyrics tattooed on his ass?
And what's to be scared of? If something sucks it simply won't take off. That's one down, and a step in the right direction.
If we're talking big picture and long term footballing culture, no one will be looking back on the club song of the last hundred years saying:
"yes... but it was never really that organic was it?"
Club should take a leaf out of WSW book imo. Get a range of songs, take a vote, and see whether it takes off. Only TIME and "TESTING" will decide if anything will ever be the right fit. And throwing ideas forward, making mistakes and seeing what sticks, is about as organic as creation gets. What matters is whether it is "beloved". And again, that will only be decided in the trying.
Peace, love and song creation,
FP
rbb=Very nice.
I guess testing needs to be done, and also an 'executive' decision needs to be made by a 'core' group of people to lay the law down.
Having a regular snoop at NT and RBB forums, dozens of chants are submitted for critique (and most of the time ended by humourous abuse) by the forum, picked up by a core group, noted to be practiced and, if successful, listed as a chant.
I know some people here have an issue with taking a leaf out of other active supporter groups, but seriously, you can see the results in their stands.
Note, I refer to the core as 'core' because I don't know how CCM refers to their main group.

they're all sh*tLol.
I don't think Im quite sure what Ur saying.
. i think the mariners like to refer to their 'core' as members ... or are you suggesting the 'core' only comes from 'active support'?
they're all sh*t

Well, I guess I'm referring to the active support leaders? Sure, yes; we're all one; but I am referring to a group leading active support.. if there is one.

come on, syd. I love to "hate" on rival supporters - particularly NT, RBB, Cove etc - but you can't dismiss what they have achieved. Particularly NT, who have been there since the start and continue to impress.
I don't know what WE as active supporters expect of ourselves to be like. I mean, sure, admittedly I have only been back in the country for 3 months and have unable to provide services for the last 4 years, let alone have a firm grasp of what what our goals and expectations are as a group...
..so maybe someone can fill me in?
(feel free to PM me to avoid cluttering the thread)
Real talk: Pete Prior doesn't actually drink; he just pretends to look big in front of the kids.
