ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Ok, It`s a rare occasion when I don`t have anything better to do,so I thought I`d have a crack at a pre-game song.
I think it has to be something very catchy that everyone can sing along to.
Something that`s fun & has a go at whoever we`re playing,
something that is original & no other team is singing.

So here goes....

Pre Game Song
To the tune of “Love is easy” by McFly

Doo, Doo, Do, Doo, Doo
Doo, Doo, Doo, Do, Doo,
Doo, Doo, Do, Doo, Doo
Doo, Doo, Doo, Do, Doo

Today, we`re watching the Mariner`s play
We don`t care what (opposition) say
We`ll cause them a lot of pain

We know, how good our players have been
You just have to watch McBreen
The best the A-League have seen

Oooo, can`t believe that it`s so simple
Feels so natural to me
The Mar- in- er`s they complete me
Love all the things they do
The Mar-in-er`s they complete me
Coz, they`re going to de-stroy you

A simple equation,
With no complications , to leave you confused
If this is Mar-in-ers
We`re going to de-stroy you

Doo, Doo, Do, Doo, Doo
Doo, Doo, Doo, Do, Doo,
Doo, Doo, Do, Doo, Doo
Doo, Doo, Doo, Do, Doo

I'm an idiot savant without the pesky savant bit
whats wrong with Thunderstruck.I think they used Akka dakka cause every man and his mutt knows them..you need a good loud rock song for the walkout...also I like Sailing by Rockin rod which would be a great end of game song for the bay to sing after a win...bottom line , the walk out song must be LOUD and not some wishy washy bloody folk song like that yellow tune that was used about 10 times ...but thats just me

I dont agree that the walkout song needs to be a rock song but it depends on what you think the purpose of the walkout song is.

If you think its purpose is to rev the crowd up and prepare them for a gladiatorial battle, then yes, Thunderstruck is a good choice. I don't see there is a need for that though. To me, football is more about passion than aggression. I'd rather the overriding emotion in the crowd be one of pride rather than one of anger. So to that end, I'd rather we walk out to a uniquely Central Coast song... like Sailing, preferably with a full BT singing it.

When I say uniquely Central Coast, I mean that there are not other professional sporting teams in Australia that would be using that song. I can name the Melbourne Storm for one, who use Thunderstruck. There are probably countless NBL teams that use it as well. It probably runs a close 2nd to We Will Rock You as a generic rev-up song.

Just on a point of order.

A fans "anthem" is from the stands not a plastic "match day experience" wank like the Cold Shite song.

Carry on
