Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

weeMac is a right sided player ... you have him on the left...

You left out Olly, Rojec & Caceres arguably along with weeMac our best mids...

I left Rogić out because I don't rate him at AM, he could be a decent striker.

IMO, McBreen and Pellegrino would be better choices at AM

I think weeMac could handle playing on the left, but if he cant than

----------- Pasfield
Pedj - Anderson - Dutchie - Rose
--------------- Beekmans
Weemac ------------ Hutchinson, Bozanić or Caceres
------------ Sterjovski
Bernie------------------ Kwas

"not on our radar" could be because the plane has landed already? Apparently finding out this week. Club would want to announce it more formally I would think, if it were the case.

Personally - I still doubt it, to be honest. Don't know if he could fit his massive ego through the door.

I would seriously reconsider my future support it we signed that ponce.

In Arnie we trust.

They seem to be contradictory statements. A lot of people didn't want Arnie before he got here. If he came I'm sure it would be a heavily caveated contract that would require a set level of performance. In addition, it seems unlikely he will come given the flat out denial by Arnie (or was that a bargaining ploy?) Personally, I would prefer Beekmans because he can cover both CB and DM - but I'm not the manager, Arnie is and as you said in Arnie we trust.

I dont think we need cover at CB with Sainsbury & Anderson. I do think its a massive risk not having another experienced CB but Sainsbury could be a revelation given a year there & Anderson has shown his promise. I'm willing to bet that one of them will grab it with both hands.

As for Culina / Beekmans, IMO its an easy call especially if both are offered at around the same value. I've called the guy a princess and laid into the guy relentlessly but he offers more to our team than Beekmans would, especially in Asia. If he signed then we would be fielding arguably our strongest side ever.

Not contradictory at all.

For the record I was not against Arnie joining us. I just don't like Culina's personality and would worry about a negative affect on the team. Not to mention the medical issues he brings.

And the way the Jets dumped him and his Dad has a rotten smell about it.

Culina is quite the divisive type it seems. I have little to no opinion on this, he's a quality player but seems not right for the club culture and ongoing injuries are a worry. If Arnie goes with him I'll trust his judgement though it appears almost a given it won't happen, Arnie's own words.

Where did the Beekmans talk come from?

also assuming Ryan goes and prior to any further recruitment i'd go

...........Pasfield

Pedj...Anderson...Dutchie...Rose

..............Hutch
.....Weemac............Olly
..............Rogic

...Bernie............Sterjovski

With variations being
Sainsbury interchanging with Anderson & Cacaeres with Hutch.
I'd also consider Sterj at LM or AM with Kwas stepping in and Rogic needs to be tested as a striker at some point too

this is with a lot of unknowns, haven't seen the new young boys in action yet

I think you are pretty close and have stayed with your assumptions - though with a replacement for Wilko to come and Maty not confirned to be going things may change quickly. The only adjustment that I would suggest would be because of Olly's surgery. I would move Tommy to LM (I think he played there when he gave the assist to Patrick in the ACL) and move McBreen to AM.

Olly had some knee surgery a month or so ago. Didn't sound major when I spoke to him a couple of weeks ago, but he is only doing bike work for fitness at the moment.

We have a few options thankfully due to depth and versatility, Sterj can play striker, LM, AM or DM (be a waste at DM really), McBreen at striker or AM, Rogic the same and LM, Hutch at DM or LM and this is prior to a new DM which we're likely to get.
Are we a bit light on the right if Glinch has games out? Pellers I suppose

Sterj, Hearfield, Pellers and Sainsbury can all cover RM as well
