Hehe brilliant. Tempted to have that printed as a poster. Maybe Marvin can put them up around Newcastle and Sydney before games
ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!
If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.
ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.
Can't disagree on Culina - would be the answer at DM and AM - providing depth in both positions and can play wide too; at his best (huge question over his fitness) would bring real class and lift the standard of the team. I know we have a no-dickheads policy but do we have a no-little-princess policy too? I don't know about pay as you play (how does that fit under a salary cap) and I suspect W Syd would be interested in him. But I do like the idea.As I've said before - I think Hutch does his best work on the left and should be jostling with Olly for that position and only as an extra cover for DM. As you said - a top class stiker may help Bernie blossom and should be first on the list.
However, given the inconsistency of youth I'd also like some more cover for Alex and Tommy as well. I would be checking out how fit Jason Culina is and offering him a pay as you play type contract. He can play anywhere in the midfield as well as RB and second striker.
And what about a 'no crocks' policy?
And what about a 'no crocks' policy?
Unfortunately we have never had a 'no crocks' policy.
We have filled a crock position consistently first with Mrdja the Musialik.
Cullina could be a shoe in at the right price.
Stoked with this, especially the DutchmanGreat news, Rogic and Dutchy!
Zwaanswijk said he and his family are settled on the Central Coast and that at 37, he was physically and mentally ready for another season as a professional footballer.
“I am 37 but my body feels like I am 38 so one more year won’t do any harm,” Zwaanswijk joked. “No, my body feels good, and mentally I am really fresh and capable of playing another season at this level.”
“It only took two meetings between myself and the Club to reach an agreement for next season, which shows you the kind of person I am and the way the Club is.”
“As soon as I told my wife and kids they were jumping in the air.”
“I see myself as not only as a player but as someone who could contribute to the Mariners in other ways in the future as well. I love the lifestyle, the sponsors and the fans and there are further things we can look to do together when I am finished as a player,” Zwaanswijk concluded.
Culina at DM would leave us exsposed through the middle worse than we are now IMO
HHHMMMMM we have backs wonders aloud who he is speaking too ...
Out favourite Italian, Fabio Grosso, sizing up some A-League clubs for a move to Australia:
http://sportbizinsider.com.au/news/category/hr-and-appointments/fabio-grosso-wants-to-dive-into-a-league-under-the-salary-cap/
Fabio Grosso, the man who won the controversial penalty for Italy that knocked Australia out of the 2006 FIFA World Cup, wants to come and play in the A-League.
The 34-year-old Juventus defender became public enemy number one here with many believing he dived under challenge from Lucas Neill.
Lou Sticca of Tribal Sports Management told SBI that Grosso, who scored the final penalty in Italy’s World Cup triumph, understands the financial position of most A-League clubs and is content to be a player within the salary cap.
“Fabio has had a great career at some top clubs. Money is not his motivation. Experiencing living in a different country, and giving his young sons a new lifestyle, is what interests him the most,” says Sticca.
“The club that has the vision to sign him will more than recoup their investment.”
Sticca confirmed that he is in discussion with a number of A-League clubs that have shown interest but did not name them.
i don't know why culina is being bagged so heavily . the guy was a world class player before
his injury . i thought he was one of our best whenever he played for australia.
if arnie thinks he's up to it.i'd be thrilled to have him . opposition coachs would fear him, no doubt .
i just don't get it.
i agree with this, my only concern would be potential work rate. our players run their legs off for each other and Culina would need to be up for that to make it worthwhilei don't know why culina is being bagged so heavily . the guy was a world class player before

other than that his ability is not in question imo
