ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

The club's official website seems to have a fault: it is frozen on last week's news of SeaFM. Any idea how I can fix this? :innocent:

If we assume as a given the salaries are paid for next year and we will get a bonus dividend from the Man U match I wonder where GA is looking for new players as we still have a number of spots available.... anyone got any glues ...

Reading between the lines...if the Mariners do have a marquee it is likely to be in an arrangement with FFA to cover the costs of Flores. But if the Mariners continue with usual policy of not having a marquee it could mean a pay rise for some players, or paying more for new players because there is now no excuse not to use the full 100% of the cap instead of trying to operate below it.

. this all depends on what happens if there is any 'excess' ... does this go to the club?

. as for excuses ... there is always 'planning' for next year - you may need somewhere to move within the cap (not much of an excuse though i'll admit)

Groningen lose captain Kwakman

13:08 | 24/05

Pride of the North captain Kees Kwakman has decided to leave Groningen after two years and wants to pursue an adventure outside Holland.

“I have recently taken the time to think about my future and I have had more and more feelings that I want o foreign adventure" the 29-year-old midfielder confessed to Dutch club’s official site.

“At the moment, there are a few contacts, but nothing definitive. I decided with FC Groningen to part ways," Kwakman added.

A hard knock for the club, anc technical manager Henk Veldmate expressed his disappointment after losing the captian. The Groningen official added that the space left vacant by Kwakman must be occupied by other team members. “We respect the desire of Kwakman. We are of the opinion that we have sufficient talent within the club to fulfill Kees’ role”, Veldmate commented.

Kees Kwakman grew up with Volendam and has also played for Rosendaal and NAC Breda. He arrived at Groningen in 2011 and has made 52 appearances in the green-white jersey.

I can't speak Dutch, but this link (if I can post it) seems to suggest he's signed with a Polish team as of 2/7:
